Focus (55) or astra (55)

Have a 55 plate Astra SRI 1.8 petrol. Took it from 38,000 miles up to 114,000 and its still going strong. Can't speak for the other models but I love my SRI in gun metal grey

I've gorra lorra love for Astra's but if the Focus's drive anything like the new Fiesta's I'd have to plump for a Focus. Never driven a Focus though.

Both are solid choices. You might have clutch problems in either to be fair though.

I had a Ford Fiesta which got smashed on the M6. While i was at a stand still in traffic a Black BMW hit me at 70 MPH. The Boot just caved in and took all the impact. So for Safety i cant fault the Ford based on personal experience. Focus all the way

Will be getting one or the other, say mileage, history, is the same, which do people think is better for a 1.6 petrol

The Focus corners better - Astra may well have a better interior.
