Bit Underwhelmed by the Upson signing, seeing as we alreadu have Morgan, Moore, Wasyl and now him, but I have total faith that Pearson knows what he's doing. Nigel Pearsons Blue and White Army. :pearson:

Unless we sign a pacey, experienced centre half in his prime we are going to get murdered. With the defence as it is we will have to play with a very deep defensive line which means the gap between defence and midfield will be huge. Not the kind of problem we need when coming up against someone like David Silva. Poor signing in my opinion.

I think the Upson signing is a move in the wrong Direction TBH (and makes us look dicks after boasting about 180 Million)

He's well past it.  I don't care care about "experience" he's not what we need.  He's a championship player no more.

Teams will just jog past him and we'll get battered by AM's and ST's with pace.

Just hope hes ont he bench for most of the season

I think we should sign a pacey 6'6 CB that has great distribution, is completely dominant in the air and regularly score from inside his own half for free.

Right, you keep saying this.

Palace have done fine without pacey CB's. More than fine. You seem to have no rebuttle to this yet you keep just saying "PACE PACE PACE PACE". I don't understand it, why would you think we need pacey CB's when there is no suggestion from teams that have stayed up that pacey CB's are required.

I would understand if you had an argument for it but you just keep repeating yourself. You can play deep and narrow with 2 banks of 4 against teams with a playmaker, it completely nullifies their space. We won't be playing an open game against teams like Man City so I'm not really sure the speed of your CB's are important, much more about concentration, discipline and communication in games like that.
