I wonder if publicity raises the possibility of being gazumped though i suspect that a club having agreed a deal would be frowned upon if they reneged on it.
sylofox Posted 24 May 2014 Posted 24 May 2014 I'm sure Pearson will spend some money when the transfer window opens, but at the moment we can only pick up those players that are free. No we could buy messi if we wanted to he just can't sign till june. Everything can be agreed they just can't sign.

The club and Nige are looking to build show players we mean business we stand a better chance of getting them and at a lower wage. As what could be one hit wonders wages will be higher second season we look a better option.

Anything agreed pre june 1st would be legal as a deal just football rules stop it happening. Once agreed it is signed and binding subject to medical and june 1st. Clubs would not gazump may cost them millions plus who would deal with them in the future unless they pay over the odds.
