At the bottom of the page? I think we all get them.

The ads pay for the forum, check out some of the offers.You don't have to buy anything for the site to get paid (I think).

I have adblock plus yet I'm still having this issue. Certain words are highlighted also with links to adverts. I also cannot use the quick reply option on the forum as the button doesn't work so have to go through 'more reply options'. Also, I can't access any of the user options in the top right corner.

 

Not a clue why this is happening?

That indicates that your machine has a virus and/or malware.

Same thing happened to me a month ago, turned out to be malware. I was able to quickly get rid of it though, pay attention to the processes you have at the bottom left corner when loading up a page. If you see anything odd, google it.
