fox123 Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 @FletchandSav tweeted this earlier. 1. Best Signing = 2. Biggest Bargain = 3. Most Overpriced = 4. Signing To Flop = 5. Best Overall Business (Club) = This was mine, a little bit biased... 1. = Diego Costa 2. = Esteban Cambiasso 3. = Luke Shaw 4. = Adam Lallana 5. = Leicester What is yours?
Stadt Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 1. Cambiasso 2. Cambiasso 3. Cambiasso 4. Cambiasso 5. Cambiasso
ScouseFox Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 1) costa 2) costa - don't even remember how much they paid but pretty sure it was below 50 million and that is a bargain 3) lukaku - the 15 mill quoted to wolfsburg was about right. everton almost doubling it was ludicrous. shaw, di maria, lallana and shane long all in with a shout though. 4) di maria - good player but not what united need 5) chelsea - best signing, rinsed everton for lukaku, courtois came back, replaced ashley cole, fabregas already looking like he'll boss it, drogba keep the fans happy, list goes on and on.
fox123 Posted 2 September 2014 Author Posted 2 September 2014 Agree, Chelsea have done some great business. Costa, despite a poor World Cup seems to be great business at £32 Million. He is suited to the Premiership.
Nalis Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 1) Diego Costa 2) Balotelli 3) Luke Shaw 4) Rojo - his disciplinary record is shocking. 5) Chelsea
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 1. Best Signing = Diego Costa (though I think Falcao is almost guaranteed to be a hit) 2. Biggest Bargain = Daley Blind for shy of £14 million looks superb on paper 3. Most Overpriced = Luke Shaw 4. Signing To Flop = Abel Hernandez at Hull 5. Best Overall Business (Club) = Chelsea - Bought the goalscorer they needed and that seems to suit their style of play, managed to get a ludicrous sum for Luiz, strengthened virtually all over the park while getting rid of players deemed surplus to requirements.
Danno Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 1. Best Signing = Diego Costa (Chelsea) 2. Biggest Bargain = Loic Remy, Blind 3. Most Overpriced = Shane Long (Saints) 4. Signing To Flop = Lallana or Sanchez 5. Best Overall Business (Club) = Chelsea
Dan Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 1. Best Signing = Diego Costa to Chelsea as he's the quality all-round forward they needed. 2. Biggest Bargain = Cambiasso to Leicester for free. 3. Most Overpriced = Long to Southampton for £12mil 4. Signing To Flop = Dejan Lovren. 5. Best Overall Business (Club) = Chelsea. Taken in very good money for what they've gotten rid of and added quality. Hull run them a close second.
Narborough_fox Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 1. Best Signing = Diego Costa, £32million is a great price. 2. Biggest Bargain = Daley Blind, cracking player and so versatile. Will help steady the United midfield. 3. Most Overpriced = Lukaku, should be going for about £17/18million not £28million! 4. Signing To Flop = Ben Arfa, may only be a loan but he's nowhere near as good as people think he is and reports from Newcastle saying he was overweight in pre-season and has an attitude problem. 5. Best Overall Business (Club) = Chelsea. Managing to sign Costa, Remy, Luis and Fabregas in with a net spend of £9million is outstanding business. Managed to get Courtois back as well.
Grandad. Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Best Signing - Diego Costa, Chelsea have added the quality to the area that cost them last season. Biggest Bargain - Mario Balotelli, time will tell but I think £16 million will be a snip. Most Overpriced - Luke Shaw. Signing to Flop - Radamel Falcao. Best Overall Business - Chelsea, Liverpool then Hull.
Narborough_fox Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Just out of interest, who does everyone think has done the worst business in the window? For me, it'd have to be Palace only being able to bring in 3 players that will strengthen their squad (Zaha, Hangeland and McArthur). Also lost Pulis which will be a huge blow.
lc4lcfc Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 Best signing- costa or in terms of relativity ulloa Biggest bargain- Patrice evra £800k how has he not been mentioned? Most overpriced- luke shaw utter madness Signing to flop- Lallana or shaw Best overall business- Chelsea fantastic business for minimal cost
FoxLAD Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 1. Best Signing = On paper = Falcao on loan! 2. Biggest Bargain = Costa 32m 3. Most Overpriced = Shaw 4. Signing To Flop = Abel Hernandez 5. Best Overall Business (Club) = Chelsea + Leicester
