I blame Wellens Posted 19 December 2014 Posted 19 December 2014 Apart from Man City and Chelsea the teams we've been playing are not actually that good. My biggest surprise this season is not necessarily how poor we have been ( and don't get me wrong we've been shocking) but the standard of the league. I thought it would be better. And frustratingly we are at the bottom of the pile.
I blame Wellens Posted 19 December 2014 Author Posted 19 December 2014 Have you ever been to a game this season when you thought that opposition were class?
C-man Posted 19 December 2014 Posted 19 December 2014 None of the posts in this thread are any good, so I find it frustrating to be at the bottom of the pile.
st albans fox Posted 19 December 2014 Posted 19 December 2014 Perhaps that says more about us than if does about the other sides!!!!!!!!!
lestajigs Posted 19 December 2014 Posted 19 December 2014 Most sides who play us will have a different mind set, dosnt mean there not good, there performance against us will be poorer because perhaps they are expecting just to walk all over us.thought Everton were decent to be fair worked from the bk every time
Soar Fox Posted 19 December 2014 Posted 19 December 2014 I wouldn't say we've been shocking in games. The only game we've been extremely poor in I'd say is Swansea. We've competed in nearly every game and we've not had a battering of anyone so far. Though I think that might change tomorrow.
ChrisWoodIsClass Posted 19 December 2014 Posted 19 December 2014 good sides we have played would include Chelsea, man city, everton, Swansea and saints

Dan Posted 19 December 2014 Posted 19 December 2014 Have you ever been to a game this season when you thought that opposition were class? There is obviously a lot more quality in this division but I'm still convinced Leicester of last year wouldn't have handed points to crap like Villa, West Brom, Burnley, QPR etc... as easily as this year. Embarrassing.

Yeah I was at Newcastle and to be fair I was extremely intoxicated by the time we got in. We were bad but not any worse than Newcastle at the time, it was a game we really should have got something out of. Swansea was the worst I've seen all season and you could probably include last season. Literally don't think we strung 2 passes together.
woddyuk Posted 19 December 2014 Posted 19 December 2014 Swansea is the only game the team didn't show up for at all. Others have not had much in them over 90 mins but fact is other teams have the points. We don't. We have for the most part scored at the right times. Even though we drew and won against Everton, Arsenal and ManUtd,, those teams were getting up a head of steam against us and we took the wind out their sails scoring when we did. Man utd were threatening to run away with it at 3-1. We need points not performances. Personally I'd rather play crap at West Ham and snatch 3 points than say we did ok agains a team that's 4th and come home with F.A

It was two awful teams, both masked by how awful the opposition was. Swansea would've belted either of us that day. I'm convinced it was at best on a par with Swansea.
LAprice_ Posted 19 December 2014 Posted 19 December 2014 I don't think it's necessarily a lack of quality but rather a lack of self-belief. Over half the teams in the league play to avoid defeat. It just creates really slow, risk-free styles that don't offer much in terms of creativity and excitement.
