Buce Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 One of the greats. Gutted. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-30582761
inckley fox Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 I loaned someone my copy of the Isle of Wight dvd. This will motivate me to get it back and have a look at his performance. He seemed to take a sound more associated with blues singing, and black vocalists, and brought it into mainstream rock 'n' roll. I imagine he wasn't the first, but he was one of them. A bit like Stevie Winwood, I suppose. I'm sure the likes of Eddie Vedder owe him a debt. And he was a good guy as well, or seemed to be. I should add that I'm 35, so I'm one of those people who had to go out and discover him. And I remember seeing a video of him at his peak and being bowled over.
Rincewind Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 One of my all time favourite singers. Have A Little Faith In Me
