Spanner73 Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Hi everyone Just wondered if anyone can tell me the answer to this one I went to download the RL podcast after the West Ham game to hear nigels post match interview but it wasn't there I didn't think anything of it at the time then realised today's was the same , then someone told me , Pearson's pulled the plug on it again and is refusing to do interviews for RL , I just wondered if this was true and the reasons for doing so ? Cheers !
Ian W LCFC Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 No one at the club is speaking to RL, don't blame them either.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 I've just got back from six and a half months away from the UK and relied on the podcasts to stay in touch with everything. Towards the end of my trip the podcasts started to not be there but I knew why having read things on here and listened to the deteriorations in relations. I really feel for those who are out of the UK like I was, surely Stringer's position is untenable if he remains the reason that BBC Radio Leicester can't provide the coverage their listeners need.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Nothing for RL to cover in the podcast now
Dickov22 Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Players and manager are refusing to speak to Ian Stringer. They are not refusing to speak to Radio Leics. It is Radio Leics choice that Stringer is the interviewer. Or not, in this case
squidsworth Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Yup, sort of sums up the club and management of LCFC really. They're so pedantic they're quite happy to isolate themselves from their most loyal fanbase, and since when does a club decide who asks the questions. If this is diplomacy, god help us.
Bluefoxtim Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Was there anything confirming this or are we all just (probably correctly) assuming?
Spanner73 Posted 27 December 2014 Author Posted 27 December 2014 Thanks for the replies lads I think it's probsbly the case that Pearson's pulled the plug on the communications with stringer as he has done this before , I really don't like stringer anyway I'd rather listen to the panel on sky than him and his commentary is rather poor so I listen to Pearson's interviews on the podcasts only !
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 It's a situation that needs resolving but my guess is that the powers that be at BBC Radio Leicester are sitting back and expecting it to be resolved with Pearson getting the sack.
allotment-fox Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 The blame lies squarely on the shoulders muppets at RL I also tried to here the podcast after I got back from West Ham
