If there is availability you should be able to, if there is price difference they will charge you the extra. Just call the ticket line. I used to do this quite a lot, albeit to buy extra tickets for others then sit with them.

Is the squad good enough for L1?
squidsworth replied to Narborough Road Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Tactics are wrong in my opinion, but is that all Martins fault? Probably not, as he is doing what he was employed to do. The problem sits higher in the command chain than just Martin. It's clear the hierarchy believe he is the man to make it work, to implement their philosophy. But the philosophy is completely wrong for this level. Even if we sacked Martin, they'd most likely just employ someone (again) who they think can make their failed philosophy work. And so the vicious cycle continues. That leaves two options, 1-change the philosophy and hope Martin has enough about him to adapt. 2 - Change the hierarchy - which will only happen if we sell. The players are stuck in the middle of it all really. They aren't good enough to implement the philosophy being asked of them. -
Loads leaving.

All you can say is he fits the Brussel ball narrative perfectly. Can't shoot, don't defend, but can move the ball side ways and backwards with some flair. Add to that he is lightweight and small, he's just what we need to get us out of this league. Might be alright with a kante around him, but in this team, in this league. Nah.
-
The only thing I'd add is the league is really quite average and nobody really stands out so it's hard to see any teams sustaining 2pts a game right now. The difference between the teams at the top and the bottom of the table seems hardly anything, virtually any one of them could go on a losing or winning streak at any point in time. Which could make it very tight come next may, I think 90 PTS will likely be enough for second, though don't think we're capable of that still. I think 3-6th might be slightly higher required than usual, just because they'll be lots of teams doing slightly better than average. As I don't see anyone running away with it.

Think we need to act early and get rid. Right now we're at that position we could improve and challenge for promotion, or get worse and sleep walk into relegation scrap. And we all know which scenario plays out at our club. This season has all the hall marks of last season. Don't wait hoping it goes the right way, act now and get rid to ensure it does. PS I really think managers should have 6 month probation periods where they can be sacked without a pay out. It's crazy you can do a shite job for a few months and walk away a millionaire.
-
To be honest I think it's clear even top doesn't care, I think he's checked out of running the club and basically let the rest of the board/management run it. I think we have a entire structure of people who frankly, don't give a damn (or don't have a clue what they're doing). And that bleeds into the team, unfortunately. And then the fans. But it can't excuse the shite show today, sadly we looked like what we are, a u21 team playing against real teams with proper players. I'm not going to go on one at the kids, it ain't their fault. But I am actually hoping some of the more experienced signings and what's left of the previous players, can now chip in. Or we're proper fookd. Again.

I feel less negative so far this season. I'm liking the youngsters in the team, and the endeavour and effort being shown now, which has been missing for the last few years. I do think we are playing with more attacking intent, yes we're possession based but we are have having more attempts at goal and lots of possession in and around the opposition area, it's just that quality shot or final ball that's missing. But I do feel we will improve on that front, we just need that first result and lady luck on our side. Wouldn't suprise me if we go on and win the next two and never look back. Watson, jj, Howells, baybrooke, alves but a few that look like they have a real future and will improve. So for now, I'm still optimistic that this season won't follow the pattern of the last few years. If results haven't improved over the next few weeks, I may change my mind. But right now, there is some hope to cling onto so that's what I'm going to be doing.

Russell Martin - Confirmed as First Team Manager
squidsworth replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
When (haha) he delivers the miracles, "Kumbaya me Russel, Kumbaya. Ohhhhh Russel, Kumbaya." Should be one your average fan could recite, no pun intended. -
Burton Albion (h) post-match 1-2 defeat
squidsworth replied to MC Prussian's topic in Leicester City Forum
We're just missing a number 11 for a full team. But I suppose we were down to 10.... -
Will he be our first permanent manager not to win a league game before being sacked?

The only thing I'd say is I'm happy this has happened now. Martin has a chance to see the error of his ways, the old school can't be trusted and must be dropped. He needs to adapt his style and quickly. You just have to look at Captain sooty, he looked good playing world cup football a few months ago but looks a total bomb scare for us. How can you have a leader like that, leading the team? I thought burns played well today, Cullen still poor and that keeper, what can you say! I'd have ward back anyday. It's early days, but there needs to be a huge shift in our 11 and our style, or it's league two and bust for us. -
He was absolute garbage in the first half, granted better in the second but the horse had bolted. Absolutely a player who can do so much better, but is taking the p**s leading this lot.

How are we favourites to win the League?
squidsworth replied to ourla's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think the super computer has predicted us 4th with 8% chance of winning the title and 15% chance of automatic promotion. Maybe not such a walk in the park after all. :-/ -
Mine has finally arrived, and now safely in my wallet.

Apparently, the system is processing thousands of mobile season tickets and so the download link isn't available to all yet, but will be before the first game. They will also email links before the first game. Before the first game doesn't fill me with hope though! That could be way too late for some, just have to read posts of people having issues even when they have a link.
-
Still nothing for me (I'm new for 26/27) - no email and all I get in season tickets section is view option with a list of games, no download. I emailed them again today. I'm getting fed up now.
-
Still had no email, no link to download on website either I can only see view which lists all the games (purchased new so nothing in wallet from last season to update either). In past seasons when I was season ticket holder I had both email link and able to add to wallet from website, which I needed to do once when it mysteriously disappeared one match day!

He's a tool and a pretty blunt one at that. Get him gone.

Northampton Match Thread Carabao Cup KO 3pm 08/08/2026
squidsworth replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
The problem is the style, smashing possession stats with no substance, always playing the safe pass like we're up against man city when it's bloody Northampton town. We need to grow some balls, we're just tepid. -

Not sure why okoli needs to go in it. Mav yes, Thomas yes. Bdcr yes. Skipp maybe but okoli has been good. -
Yeah but that's speculative as club could come up with whatever criteria they want, is there even past history of this? Plus it doesn't t exactly happen very often. So I'll rephrase, most probably meaningless.
-
Yeah the points remain, but meaningless until you renew again. Also, if you skip a season, and get one thereafter, you won't be renewing so not entitled to renewal bonus points assuming they still do that.
-
First game of the season with the new manager in place, 26 degrees in the summer sun, a chance to down a few bevs without the Mrs knowing. A chance to watch how our youngsters get on against a bruising team like Northampton, with us hopefully banging in goals left, right and centre. I'm really looking forward to this, can't believe they only open up the west stand. Could have at least done the kop or family stand as well, I'm sure as the day approached people would buy. That said, I'm fully expecting my utopian dream to be shattered within 20 mins and us being out of a major cup before the regular season has even started!
