I thought when RDL played with schlupp on the left he looked really comfortable, more so than at RB

Wes has lost his head I think, half the player he was. Didn't see any leadership from him at all yesterday, I did see DD doing all that for him though. We do need to sort the defence out though, no doubt about it. Not sure NP sees it as an issue though.

I think we've improved defensively over the last few weeks to be honest. We lost yesterday because we were bullied, out passed and outnumbered in the middle of the park.

I think it's a mixture of the 2, the defence are so worrying at times I'm constantly seeing the midfield being sucked back for support, there's just no faith in eachothers ability is seems, when the midfield get sucked back we have nothing on the break or goon forward, the spine of the team is shot...

CM AND CB minimum requirement to have a chance.

The defence doesn't need strengthening because of yesterdays result, but because of most of the results this season. It's just not good enough for the Premiership.

I would rather us sign a solid CDM after yesterdays display. Someone of Hammond's mould that adds some bite to the midfield and does the simple jobs really effectively. A would say we need that over a winger and possibly a centre back (a position I would still like us to strengthen in).

 

However, Nigel please sign a left back. We've been screaming out for a left back since the summer. If it moves beyond this transfer window and nobody new has come in or the team has not been rotated to move Konchesky out it is borderline inexcusable.
