Schwarzer - 42 Simpson - 28 Wazilewski - 34 Morgan - 31 Konchesky- 33 Upson - 35 Average age 33.83 Trying to think of the youngest group - must have been in the Jock Wallace era, with the likes of Larry May, Tommy Williams and John O'Neill playing. I think that these youngsters would have put up better showing than the Zimmer frame fraternity who turned out today.

Guest Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 Upson was okay but he DID lack pace. Morgan and Was had poor games (Was has played well mostly this season). Simpson was and is a total disaster, he can't be any worse when he's 50. Konch is Konch. I thought Swarzer was okay and is the best keeper we've had this season.

ADK Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 I don't understand why people think we need a defender with pace or a goalkeeper that can serve as playmaker. How many times have we conceded due to defenders with no pace? I can't even think of any. We must have conceded at least 20 due to poor defensive technique or basic errors. It's only a 38 game season and few teams play with a fierce tempo.
