  1. It's been said before but I'm absolutely certain that it's because Rudkin is so ill-informed and poorly regarded in football that he just relies on Glover's contacts who was previously there. Our talent pool is basically Wasserman and Southampton.
  2. Definitely. Aiyawatt has a thing for archaic, boring posession football because he hasn’t realised the game has moved on. Rudkin is clearly seen as unserious, so seems to rely on Glover’s connections. This is why we’ve essentially become a bottom feeder for Saints. Anything that has been through there has a higher likelihood of turning up here.
  3. Doesn't St. Ledger still work as a scout for the club? Clearly put up a poster in the Seagrave Canteen asking for participants.
  4. I've since gone back and watched the first few episodes of the first series and the drop off is absolutely noticeable IMO. It's like a different show. It's so obvious that since it was the last season with guaranteed huge viewership, Amazon slashed the budgets to maximise value, and it massively suffered as a result. Everything more or less takes place within a series of rooms with a handful of extras. S1-S3 has huge outdoor set pieces all the way through. And I get that the cancellation of Gen V probably threw a spanner in, but the writing in the last season is so inconsistent. Character arcs that go nowhere. The power scaling was all over the place (seriously Homelander's laser eyes cutting people in half, then at the end they don't even damage their clothes anymore?). The entire V1 storyline turned out to be completely pointless. The dick and arse gags were painful to listen to at times. Essentially Homelander was built up over the entire series, along with the "scorched earth" stuff, and he basically did nothing. I still enjoyed watching it because I was already invested - but the last season was a massive disappointment with awful writing, carried by the performances of the actors.
  5. You’re giving him far too much credit. That would require a level of planning and competence that he doesn't have. The club isn’t declining because of some grand plan - it's in the pits because he hasn't got a ****ing clue what he's doing.
  6. It really is one embarrassment after another with this lot isn't it? The lack of self-awareness in the upper echelons of the organisation must be fascinating to observe.
  7. Wait, so is everyone going for free now? If I was one of the dozens of people who bought a ticket to this, I'd be pretty miffed if the club started handing out tickets for free.
  8. Where's the retro badge come from? Is this a rumour or are we just posting fantasy shirts?
  9. Top and Rudkin should already have got him on the blower to get him in as a coach whilst doing his badges. But they won't have because 1. He's too influential. 2. They're thick.
  10. I just knew it’d be a matter of time before Martin was mentioned FFS.
  11. Listening to the WYS podcast reminded me that this lad will go down in history as the club’s worst ever signing.
  12. Every now and then I just picture Aiyawatt standing next to teflon Jon in the director’s box shrugging after relegation was confirmed and once he knew the cameras were on him. A totally transparent display of public self preservation and bewildered disassociation.
  13. Yeah, very disappointing. This final season felt so small. Tiny set pieces like Amazon had completely slashed their budgets. I was hoping they were saving it all for a massive finale but no, it basically all took place inside a few rooms. Writing was all over the place too. So inconsistent. Not as bad as GoT by a long stretch, but didn’t feel like a fitting end to one of the best series of recent years.
  14. You know who I feel sorry for? The half and half scarf sellers.
