Cant understand why they would though with Gareth Bale who imo is a better player and prospect than Mattock. DOnt get me wrong I rate Mattock and think he has a bright future but I cant see why a team like Spurs would want him, especially at this stage of his career, it would ruin him! I also hear he wants to leave which pissed me off, he should be grateful we gave him his chance! Fair enough a move to the Prem is every lads dream but if he is good enough his time will come, he shouldnt be demanding a move or higher wages.

So that's Newcastle, West Ham and Spurs all bid for him on the same day at the same time and yet the club only think it was one club?. At least two people are not telling the truth and I suspect whoever gave you your information is one of them. I am pretty certain Mattock wants to stay here for the time being as well, he's said so himself on several occasions.

And if so, which I doubt, is it to make sure he gets selected ahead of Sheehan? Not sure that Bale will turn out better in the end. Long way to go. But you're right about it being the wrong time to move on. If Mattock goes to a Premiership club I'd imagine he'd soon be on the sidelines twiddling his thumbs. Is there no-one in his camp can see this and advise him soundly. Or are people after the quick bucks? Cos I've got one message for them. Treat him right and look after HIS interests first not your own.

There's as many people on here who know Mattock and his Dad as scousers who used to live next door to Paul McCartney. Maybe his Dad wouldn't be too chuffed to read his quotes broadcasted, Iv'e never meet either but know enough through a third party to generate interest on this site (wage etc) but its best to keep stum
