Ozwin Posted 25 April 2007 Share Posted 25 April 2007 And don't reccomend the generic players who always get posted in topics like these. I'm after some underatted players who'll do the job for me. Creative Midfielders/Center Midfielders are what I'm after really. Pretty much the same IRL too huh? Cheers.

Ozwin Posted 25 April 2007 Author Share Posted 25 April 2007 I got Teddy Sheringham for a while, scored loads of goals for me then suddenly died down with his scoring. The game must've taken his legs away. Robbie Fowler's like 10 years younger, yet I still thought 'OLD' when I read your post. 32 isn't old at all is it? I'll see what I can do. Ozwin Posted 25 April 2007 Author Share Posted 25 April 2007 Reccomend away anyway, I'll be the judge of wether you're suggestions are poor or not. >_> My usual technique is 'If the numbers are orange and the name sounds cool - I'll buy you!' Ozwin Posted 25 April 2007 Author Share Posted 25 April 2007 I'm in my 2nd year ATM. Just finished 4th in the first season, losing the Play Off final ;_; Gutted. So I'm tipped for promotion now the scum bags are out of the league. (Teams that kept beating me) Go go go! And that technique of mine isn't ENTIRELY true... Stinkenzo Posted 25 April 2007 Share Posted 25 April 2007 Well I take it your Leicester.. Iain Hume usually seems to hit form in the second season so if you haven't already got rid, keep him, he'll be useful. I 'spose people like Freddy Eastwood who can usually be found cheap, or some Scottish players (John Sutton, Steven Naismith etc.) If your like me, just use the player search and look for players unattached, Dean Morgan might not be a big name but usually does well... **And now i've just noticed you've asked for CM's** If you could get Morgan or something, him on the left, maybe Hume on the right , Gareth Williams can be quite good.. Michael Bostwick (on my game) turned out to be a good player... might be a bit of a risk signing him though... Oh, theres an FM thread somewhere down the pages in the General Chat forum

Ozwin Posted 25 April 2007 Author Share Posted 25 April 2007 Cardenasfrom bucramenga in Columbia fits that bill perfectly!! Yeah, he loks brilliant. But the work permits are never accepted for him. I try on every game I start but with no luck any times. I've never actually seen him play on the game as of yet and I bet he's unstoppable in the Championship. ;_;

Ozwin Posted 25 April 2007 Author Share Posted 25 April 2007 I've just signed about 4 players from Sweedish side FC Groningen, they have a lot of quite good stat'D players. 2.4M for a striker which looks good and a couple of left footed players too. Stephen Hughes & Cademarteri to the Reserves you go!

Ozwin Posted 25 April 2007 Author Share Posted 25 April 2007 How many times do you have to constantly make an offer > appeal though? I'm always doing it with players I want and 90% of the time they never make it here.
JoeyB Posted 25 April 2007 Share Posted 25 April 2007 it depends on either the PA or how many international games they have missed! they need to of played at least 50% iirc to get a work permit

They are quality, make sure you set Wotton to defensive and Vilakazi to attacking though
DB11 Posted 25 April 2007 Share Posted 25 April 2007 James Vaughan and Hume up front are a deadly partnership Alie Daei (if he hasn't retired - usually does after the first season but he is world class in the championship)

Dames Posted 25 April 2007 Share Posted 25 April 2007 Tommy Miller was cracking for me in his first season. I also go Anchebi on loan from Everton and he bagged 38 goals in his season with me. Also worth a punt is Eddie Standford. Always solves my LM problem for a season or 2.
City Fan Posted 25 April 2007 Share Posted 25 April 2007 Billy Jones from Crewe, you can get him for between 1 and 2 million normally. Can play RB, CB, and CM. Also try Brian Kerr as well, you can get him quite cheap.
Geo V Posted 25 April 2007 Share Posted 25 April 2007 Alain Traore, a ALM who is young is always a wonderkid, also Freddy Adu who plays thee all as an attacking midfielder and Eddie Johnson, another American who will score the goals after those two supply the ammo . BTW Ben Arfa is a great player to get when young although loads of big clubs want him. a South African called Villakazi (may only be one L) is available for between £200-500k and is always player of the season.
