Mikey Posted 11 May 2007 Posted 11 May 2007 Found on the Fox site. Did he mean it or was it an attempted cross? Who cares? I know. What a goal that is. I saw it on www.101greatgoals.com a few days ago.
Thracian Posted 11 May 2007 Posted 11 May 2007 Perhaps the most remarkable goal I've ever seen. Takes some doing from that distance - and to beat the goalkeeper. Would hardly have believed it possible without seeing it.
Wezleylowski Posted 11 May 2007 Posted 11 May 2007 heavens too betsy, that was a touch of class, are we sure it isnt louis dodds playing for rochdale?
Finnegan Posted 12 May 2007 Posted 12 May 2007 Perhaps the most remarkable goal I've ever seen. Takes some doing from that distance - and to beat the goalkeeper.Would hardly have believed it possible without seeing it. I dunno. Someone who didn't know Lilian Nalis any better might have said his scorcher against Leeds was one of the best goals they'd ever seen - but we know it was a touch of fluke from a toss player. I don't know anything about this Peruvian lad, to be fair, but without knowing how 'lucky' that goal was - I'd hesitate to throw THAT much praise on it. Still farpin' brilliant, mind. Don't get me wrong.
I8AM Posted 12 May 2007 Posted 12 May 2007 great goal. Surely your liable to get injured though. Or is my footwork alot less nimble ?
Chandler Posted 12 May 2007 Posted 12 May 2007 Chaps, The move is called the 'Rabona' and was devised by Giovanni Roccotelli who played for Ascoli in Serie A in the 1970's. Full description here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabona And, I'm sure you will agree, a far superior execution of the move can be viewed here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-17155173669407480
Sly Posted 12 May 2007 Posted 12 May 2007 Its not actually that hard to do. I've scored goals using it but mine were from about 6 yards out. I do always end up toe punting the ball though Ronaldo put a cross in using this move in the FA cup final against Millwall if I remember right. Great looking goal though, not the best I've seen mind. Anyone else seen the bloke from Palermo score that flying back heal?
