Thracian Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 Give the squad guys who've not played today a game and build the team around that. Cos some of them will already be pissed off beyond belief.

Like Porter and Adams? I don't see how Adams could be pissed off, unfortunately for him he's competing with unarguably our best player at the moment. I do agree that Porter has reason to be disappointed but that's football. I'm sure if he plays well on Tuesday then he's got every chance of starting on Saturday.

By what earthly argument did Howard get ahead of anyone and Dyer get ahead of Porter?
Joe. Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 Henderson Gilbert Hobbs Tunchev Mattock Adams Kishishev Weso Porter Dickov Campbell That's what I'd like to see. A bit of first team mixed with the fringe players for me.

C-man Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 It might be football but I wouldn't put up with it. How can you compare the achievements of the two pre-season? From what I saw, Levi was more impressive than Lloyd in pre-season, but he didn't have a bad game today and we won so his selection was justified.
syston_fox Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 It's all politics pal. By what earthly argument did Howard get ahead of anyone and Dyer get ahead of Porter? "GET BLOODY LEVI ON"
Thracian Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 From what I saw, Levi was more impressive than Lloyd in pre-season, but he didn't have a bad game today and we won so his selection was justified. That's exactly the problem with Leicester City. They feel smug because they totally dominated the first half and finally scored through a penalty and an ingenious bit of dogged persistence when the truth is they should have won by a handful and should never have presented the isitors with the chance of an undeserved draw which they thankfully squandered.
shen Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 It's all politics pal. By what earthly argument did Howard get ahead of anyone and Dyer get ahead of Porter? You really are obsessed with Levi Disturbing
Thracian Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 You really are obsessed with Levi Disturbing I'm not obsessed with anyone. I've got a sense of fairness. And if Dyer plays better than Porter I'll be happy to say so. I've never been Fryatt's greatest fan but I think he's a potential star in Division One, I've picked him in my first choice team and have said I've got every confidence in the guy which has been more than justified with today's two goals.
Tommy G Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 It's all politics pal. By what earthly argument did Howard get ahead of anyone and Dyer get ahead of Porter? Too be fair to NP he's seen them play and train day in day out, there must be a reason why he started Dyer over Levi, perhaps Levi looked sharper this week, or he might not have been 100% I know you think it's corrupt behind the scenes, there may be some truth behind that. I very much doubt it involves minnows like Dyer and Porter. Howard however is a different matter

Like to see Lee Cox at right back Tuesday but god knows about Left Back, we need to sign someone to cover Mattock and give him some competition, hopefully we will sign someone by the weekend. SUBS: Logan O'Neill Morrison Gradel Fryatt Howard King

Cos it'll have nothing to do with form unless they've had games behind closed doors.

The thing is, that kind of thing goes on at a lot of clubs I'm 100% sure of it. Besides, I'm sure you refer to Manderic as the orchestrator of all this. If it wasn't for him Im a firm believer we'd be in even more shit than we are now. Some bad decisions have been made with him at the helm, but he did ultimately save us from going down the shitpan all together.

cleaver1987 Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 I think one person everyone has failed to notice and a bit of an unsung hero and someone who everyone takes for granted in his role is matt oakley you just see what a difference the team is without him because he at the moment is the focal point of our team. Im sorry but a squad without him in it is just stupid once match fit and brimmin with confidence which every player needs he will outclass all our players and everyone will wake up and realise how vital he is to leicester and developing the lads in this young team.
Tommy G Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 If you beIieve that then you may be right. I don't. So if it wasn't for Milan we'd still be flying high in the Championship? I think you'll find we'd probably be bust, hindsight is a great thing though. Im expecting a reply along the lines of ''Holloways fault, football politics, not enough youngsters, not enough free flowing football etc ...'' I'm just basing it all on finances, because if we don't have money, we don't have a football club.

I'm just basing it all on finances, because if we don't have money, we don't have a football club. The finance bloke who resigned didn't suggest we were about to go bust. And with the assets we had - some of whom have been sold to demonstrate my point - there was never any reason we should. It is well documented that I wrote to my own son suggesting he get a consortium of friends to bid for the club because it was such a bargain. Just imagine what Gradel would fetch on the open market today.
smokey Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 Does it matter, we won game anyway and i still think Dyer is better than Porter who i think is poor. If anyone should be gutted it should be Adams, he as been very good in pre-season but he as a bit harder competition in Gradel, our right side is so strong now. I would like to see a completely new side on Tuesday as i think our second 11 is very strong and have all had good pre-seasons yoo, which is great for competition, just sign a left back Pearson ASAP.

I actually agree, Mattock is questionable defensively. I'm always nervous when he faces an attacker. His positioning is very poor. People talking about him signing for Villa/Everton/West Ham are laughable No way near ready for that. He needs more games at this level first
