It's true, we need cover in the full back positions now Chambers has left. We can't rely on Gilbert and Mattock all season and I don't fancy a centre back covering the position. Although saying that I forget about the youth we have to fill these positions...

Posted
I actually agree, Mattock is questionable defensively. I'm always nervous when he faces an attacker. His positioning is very poor.

People talking about him signing for Villa/Everton/West Ham are laughable lol No way near ready for that. He needs more games at this level first

You are right, but we need competition for him and good cover, he wont play every game this season

Posted
Does it matter, we won game anyway and i still think Dyer is better than Porter who i think is poor.

If anyone should be gutted it should be Adams, he as been very good in pre-season but he as a bit harder competition in Gradel, our right side is so strong now.

I would like to see a completely new side on Tuesday as i think our second 11 is very strong and have all had good pre-seasons yoo, which is great for competition, just sign a left back Pearson ASAP.

Porter poor. Did he fall out with your sister or something? I've talked to stacks of people inside and outside of Leicester City and not one has said they think Porter is poor. But you go some way to confirming my point. The guy should leave and go somewhere he's appreciated or where his wage levels put him higher up the pecking order.

I just dont rate him Thacian and im entitled to my opinion, when i see him perform well and regular for the first team i will think like this, id love to know your FIRST TEAM reasons for thinking he is so good.

Also on players, bet you werent slagging Fryatt off like you was in early summer after the game today?? Dont forget our Fryatt V Dodds bet!!

I won't forget my bet, don't worry.

But that doesn't make me wish a bad season on Fryatt. I've consistently and on many occasions said I believe Fryatt will score 15-18 goals in Division One and only earlier this week said I had "every confidence in the bloke at this level".

He's been in my chosen first choice X1 because he's been our best striker given the level of opposition so how much stronger can I state his case?

I call it as I see it. Form varies. I don't hate Howard or think he's no good but I find it damned hard to see how he gets ahead of others right now.

Reputations, wages, friendships, agent pressure etc don't mean anything to me. Just performances from week to week. If I forget someone's contribution and someone points it out I'll happily change my assessment but I do try to be fair and to judge players on the impact they have on a game.

I give reasons for my views and as far as Porter is concerned he is, to me, one of the best and most consistent passers and movers in the club. Defensively or offensively he rarely squanders possession, he has the ability to prise open the tightest defenders, he can shoot and is as good as we have at taking free kicks with Beswick being injured and Sheehan being long gone.

Oh by the way. Dodds got up and running by scoring Port Vale's first goal of the season from long range in a 3-1 win over Luton. :D

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has hinted that he may make a number of changes to his starting line up when the Foxes take on Stockport County in the first round of the Carling Cup on Tuesday evening (7:45pm).

Pearson kept the faith with the side that had played the final pre-season game of the summer against Crystal Palace for the opener against MK Dons.

And a goal in either half from striker Matty Fryatt gave the Foxes the perfect start to their League One campaign.

But speaking after the match in his post match press conference, the City chief hinted that he could ring the changes for the visit of the Hatters.

He said: "There will certainly be some changes on Tuesday night, but it is important that we get the balance right.

"Obviously, the league is the most important competition that we will be involved in this year - but I wouldn't dream of belittling any tournament that we play in.

"The league is our priority, but having a good run in any cup competition is beneficial. We will certainly be trying our utmost to win every game that we play - that's for sure.

"The fixture gives an opportunity to the players who are selected that didn't take part in the match on Saturday the chance to show what they can do.

"I have been through to the finals of this competition myself as a player, so I know what it is all about.

"You just can't beat winning games - no matter what competition it is in."

I hope no one is under estimating Stockport, Jim Gannon did a fine job with them last season taking them into the play-offs which they won 3-2.

In fact he was one of the managers I thought could do a good job for us this year prior Pearson/s appointment.

We need to be on the ball and extra edge is added to the fixture where the psychology advantage of a win to take into Saturday's game could prove important

Too weak in bold. Forget Sappleton, play Dicov and DJ up front.

I think one person everyone has failed to notice and a bit of an unsung hero and someone who everyone takes for granted in his role is matt oakley you just see what a difference the team is without him because he at the moment is the focal point of our team. Im sorry but a squad without him in it is just stupid once match fit and brimmin with confidence which every player needs he will outclass all our players and everyone will wake up and realise how vital he is to leicester and developing the lads in this young team.

Is that you Mrs Oakley ??

Give the squad guys who've not played today a game and build the team around that. Cos some of them will already be pissed off beyond belief.

Ye good idea, Lets keep the good players on the bench and play the crap lazy gits, that way we can watch the whole team turn into crap lazy gits, just like the last few years, and lets see if we can get relegated again. Effing amazing.

Give em all a rest. But if you look at it, that is a team that did not play on Saturday (except the full backs) and it still does not look particularly weak. Good sign. Also quite youthful.

I apologise if I offended you with my spelling.

Get a life

It's not offensive - just spelling Dickov wrong...it's just pure lazy.

To put you straight..it was the simple mistake of not looking at the screen, typing fast with a sandwich in one hand.

Not lazy.

Put the time you have off from school to more use, rather than picking up on peoples spellings. Shouldn't you be in general chat anyway, asking people for advice on girls?

Shouldnt you be downing milkshakes and masturbating over a picture of your muscles?
