  1. Contrary to the name, it’s actually quite limp.
  2. He seems quite pleased with how things went.
  3. Have some of that you dirty spuds.
  4. Well that was crap.
  5. Well that was crap.
  6. Unlikely I reckon. The club might want him gone, but: 1) who’d have him? ie who needs him and can afford him. 2) does he want to go? I mean maybe he’d like to get some games in to get himself in the shop window before his contract is up… but that brings us back to point 1 - who wants/needs him as their #1 (why go on loan if you’re just going to warm someone else’s bench). I don’t see Ward leaving before the summer.
  7. “Who may leave? Odsonne Édouard will have his loan deal scrapped prematurely and will return to Crystal Palace, but there is no prospect of Brighton loanee Facundo Buonanotte returning as he has passed the required number of appearances.“ Source: Percy / Telegraph
  8. I’ve covered my walls with awful Hawaiian shirt from the club shop.
  9. A highlight from the 01/02 season: Walker, Marshall, Davidson, Heath, Sinclair, Impey, Savage, Wise, Rogers, Akinbiyi, Scowcroft. Subs: Royce, Deane, Izzet, Jones, Benjamin. Lost 4-0 at home against Southampton. As bad as any starting XI is these days, none will ever compare to anything that has Dennis twatting Wise in it.
  10. Quietly confident now that ETH has been sacked, we’re heading for an absolute pasting.
  11. How are we managing to look this crap?
  12. Ward-Prowse surplus to requirements at West Ham? We were rumoured to be interested a few years ago, or did I imagine that?
  13. Maybe a defender from United.
  14. Oh heaven forbid the “big six” should be disadvantaged. Fork right orf and take the rest of them with you. Tosser.
  15. Why Premier League’s 'swap weekend' could be another PSR loophole (BBC Football)
  16. So this is the reason we haven’t got a kit sorted yet.
  17. Have you never heard of Gary Megson?
  18. I rarely have a clue when these things come up, which is why it’s a good job I’m not involved in the process at all. The Corblimey fellow sounds interesting. I think Potter, Pottychino and De Zerbi are unrealistic. There’s some merit in Moyes II Men, a shrewd operator, but that would be a bit of a deviation from the preferred playing style so seems unlikely. Carrick a bit of a dark horse candidate, could fit the bill, but had a tricky season last time out… there again, he knew how to get the better of us, so some useful insight there in how not to play. I can’t remember who I voted for, probably Corblimey. If I were a betting man, I’d chuck a cheeky fiver on Rob Edwards. It just feels like the kind of appointment we might make.
  19. First thing that comes to mind: Maybe a little on-the-nose for a playing kit. Probably fine for training.
  20. Around that age, it would’ve been that loveable rogue Frank Sinclair and his cheeky own goals. Keller, in all honesty. First kit I ever got was that absolute all time classic keeper kit - the green patterned Fox Leisure number. Mint.
  21. They’d probably go Scottish style and split the league up to avoid such scenarios… not for any competitive balance reasons, but because you could have So Called Big Six games to be played in major venues, and the Others can be played elsewhere… Chelsea Liverpool in New York; Arsenal Tottenham in Los Angeles; and Palace Everton in Gary, Indiana.
  22. Think the idea of a 39th game is that nobody is being robbed of a home game, it’s entirely additive to the current 38 game schedule, so does not disrupt the home/away balance. — I do expect this will happen, and probably quite soon. It’s an idea almost as old as time at this point, and now someone has presumably bunged FIFA a suitable amount of cash, some of the final roadblocks are perhaps out the way now. To be honest, the only surprising aspect could be if it goes to the US before it goes to Saudi Arabia, in the current climate. Get ready for the mental gymnastics of the So Called Big Six trying to both justify how the very lucrative 39th game is both not a problem for them at all, but also a massive problem for them and their players who face “ridiculous” demands to play matches all over the world. Oh those poor unfortunate souls, forced to compete in four competitions… if only there was a way to reduce the burden! Can Arsenal do it on a cold rainy Tuesday night in Detroit? Let’s find out!
