Nice way to spend a Monday afternoon

Some M&S foodhalls in the concourses where you can grab one of their excellent sandwiches or wraps if the game is getting a little boring. More artisan coffee options to fill up my LCFC flask. Statue of Top holding aloft our only FA Cup trophy. Maybe one on every corner, like Brentford and the pubs. More clappers. Better representation of our former players and managers around the ground. I'm thinking the Brendan Rodgers lounge where you can enjoy the game surrounded by images of the great man himself winning the FA Cup in 2021 and marching us into Europe twice. Preferably the tickets would be expensive so I don't have to watch the game surrounded by some of our loutish and frankly quite weird fans.

My first full season was 96/97 so in my formative years I experienced four consecutive top ten Premier League finishes and two cup wins. So promotion was great but I needed to see us established in the top flight again. No doubt though 2013/14 was fantastic and over the winter that season we were the absolute dog's bollocks. The 4-1 win over Derby was sensational I remember.

April and May 2015 was probably my favourite period supporting the club. Maybe even more so than the title win.

US was very happy for Europe to deindustrialize and demilitarize because it helped cement their global hegemony. It's only since the rise of China and Russia's invasions in Georgia and Ukraine that they've started to express their concern that we are "free loading".

I'll be honest I find getting upset about stuff like this or people having "M&S sandwiches" a bit weird. Maybe she doesn't get to many games. Maybe she's got a lot going on in her life and this is a nice distraction. Maybe she just really likes flasks. Obviously the home atmosphere is crap at the moment and the club is appallingly run, but I don't get really get some of the rage on here towards a certain type of fan that some people obviously really want to blame for our current malaise. It reminds me of political discourse in the country in general, the sniping at boomers or liberals or whoever is to blame. And this is not just a comment on your post but the forum in general at the moment. It feels slightly performative. Or maybe I'm just a happy clapper and I don't realize it...

Would rank the PL relegation teams I've seen: Best 22/23 obviously. But in many ways the worst relegation because of that. Then 03/04. Shouldn't have gone down. Poor management. 01/02 - one less point at this stage than the team this season. But would put them very slightly above because we were more competitive in some games but our confidence was shot - see Bolton away and Chelsea at home. 24/25 - diabolical. This run of home games is historically bad not just by our standards but by English football standards.

Woke up and thought "who are we playing today?". And then remembered....

I vowed to give it up in the summer of 2008, also because I'd left the country. Then that season sucked me right back in...
