re Ljubljana I remember going to 'Metelkova' in 2006 which is probably a massive tourist trap now but at the time was a still relatively cool post industrial kind of art/bar/cultural area and spent the night drinking copious amounts of Zlatorog with a very svelte, beautiful posh English girl (yes they exist) who was hit on constantly throughout the night including by one Slovenian guy who tried unsuccessfully to convince her she'd love his apartment because it was next to the Zlatorog brewery.
