  1. How did MON leave us in a precarious position? Financially? Because in terms of the squad he left one that could've challenged for the top 6, and it was doing until Taylor really put his stamp on it.
  2. That game is going to haunt Hungarians for years
  3. Pearson?
  4. Was really gutted when he left the first time and we got Sousa. Felt like coming back to reality after a great holiday. At the same time I was a bit sceptical about him being reappointed, but it turned out even better the second time...
  5. Is that the same Farage whose bullshit was promoted for years by the BBC, leading to Brexit?
  6. Amazing so many left wingers go out to bat for the BBC after the last couple of decades
  7. Let them fight imo.
  8. Why on earth are we obliged to support our "national broadcaster" to prove our loyalty to this country? Tinpot dictatorship behavior.
  9. Thought that was a typo and you were talking about mtwg
  10. A bit chainy but aesthetically a beautiful pub and I love sitting outside and listening to that very specific sound of the Eurostar trains departing to Paris.
  11. BBC patriotism is so weird though. I suppose if you like patronising, superficial documentaries about foreign countries or presenting patently false information in the name of 'impartiality' then it's great, but this worship of it is slightly North Korean.
  12. Love that gallery and that painting. The bass bottle in the corner!
  13. Probably past plane banners now. Should just storm the stadium.
  14. I think I taught her on a pre-sessional English course at university of Surrey. Went to the wrong uni on the first day then wrote her final essay on the importance of photocopiers.
  15. Agree that we should have sacked Rodgers earlier but that it also had got to a point that keeping was probably a better option than getting in Smith. Who if he was any decent wouldn't be managing in America. Still think O'Neill would've kept us up. Would probably have matched Smith's results but won the Everton game.
  16. He wasn't a great signing at the time, potentially very good player though. I think his best games came alongside Okazaki unsurprisingly.
  17. For us. Fofana had more potential than any Leicester player I've seen, just hasn't reached it.
  18. Agree on Fofana and was going to write something similar. People underestimate how good he was for us because of what a dickhead he is. Put in two of the finest performances I've seen from a Leicester defender firstly in the cup final and then against PSV. We missed him perhaps as much as Kasper although obviously he was never going to stay. I want to agree with your second choice just because he is Bulgarian but... no. Very cultured defender but was playing one maybe two leagues below his level at the time. Nowhere near Elliott, Huth, Evans or Fofana.
  19. I think the Puel revisionism has perhaps gone a little too far the opposite way but obviously he is nowhere near that bracket and nobody thinks he is... do they?
  20. That's a stone cold fact, not a hot take. Although at the same time Kasper was arguably easier to replace. Maybe my hot take is that we should have kept hold of Fuchs for another couple of seasons. Even at 37 he would've been better than the left back performances we saw that season which might have made that tiny bit of difference we needed.
  21. the shame of being associated with lcfc!
  22. Skopelos is great. We used to eat most nights at a place called Molos in Skopelos town which was always very nice, though that was 10 years ago. Kastani and Milia beaches are good on the west coast and Stafylos just south of the town.
  23. I see Antonio Brown is promoting BC Game which assures me it's a fully legit, upstanding company
  24. Strong central government, one dominant political party, state corruption, poverty, cult of the leader, expansionism and Russian domination over bordering countries, crack downs on dissent and freedom of expression. Modern Russia is not incredibly far apart from the old regime.
  25. A city that can go from ugly to beautiful quite suddenly. Great food and bars. Museum of Yugoslavian history is fun if probably a little too Yugonostalgic. Apart from that all the main sites and attractions will be the ones you've probably already read about.
