Vardys basic with us in the PL was at peak 150-160K p/w. With appearances and goals this would’ve been 200K+. Last season he was on less than his peak wage with us but still with appearances and goals, bonuses etc…he likely wasn’t far off 200K per week. (Probably 175-185)

Can’t see Marti using Hamza in the 6 or 8 roles in a possession heavy system. He will likely be used in the Justin or Doyle roles from the Enzo system. Ricardo and Winks will be crucial to Marti-ball.

As awkward as it is the club doesn’t really have any choice but to back Winks this season, give him a major role and likely be part of the leadership group…hoping he reaches heights of the 23/24 campaign.
