Ok. I think he was class and without him and/or Ricardo we would not have been able to play like that. The final 12 games-ish of the season where we bottled breaking the record, for me, was down to Enzo being way too stubborn and a mentality issue in the squad that is likely still there with Faes and Soumare etc still being here.

What was he then if he wasn’t one of our best players that year?

I get where everyone is coming from regarding Winks, I really do. But during that Enzo season he was sublime, he and KDH were the best performers in the league. With what Winks can do, especially in a Cifuentes system, we can’t replace him and we would have to spend 12-15m+ to get someone similar in. Whereas with Coady, Vesty etc…they’re replaceable very easily with the likes of Nelson, Okoli, Souttar after injury and one or two loans. Due to the circs and how important Winks could be in this system I’m willing to give him another chance this year.

Gotta be Ricardo with Winks backing him up. Coady had no place here. Nelson too young and time will come. Thomas and Justin aren’t leaders. Vesty doesn’t deserve it.

Boils my p*ss that he, Coady, Soumare and Vestergaard are all gonna still be here on a combined 250k+ p/w come the end of August. Any other club wouldn’t have serious problems moving them on whether if he a transfer or loan.

I think we would be stupid to not have Evans, Monga and Page all involved this season. Aluko and JJ junior would be best served with the 23s and then loaned out when they are ready

I think it’s being brought in for political reasons. At 16 or 17 you can’t work full time without education being part of it. You can’t get a credit card. You can’t get a loan. You can’t own a house. You can’t buy alcohol legally. You can’t buy cigarettes legally. You can’t get a tattoo legally. Your parents still get child benefits up to 20 years of age if in education. You have no real experience of the real world, concept of money, bills etc or having proper responsibilities. But yeah let’s lower the voting age. I’m massively against it.
