  1. Yeah I get that and maybe I should have included this at first. They had to build the training ground anyway to enable them moving from their existing training ground which is adjacent to the ground (therefore now space to redevelop). So the training ground investment was always going to their first intention
  2. But they had an obstacle in the way. That’s out of the way now and the chairman has been very vocal that they need to improve capacity whilst getting their fanbase younger. I’d suggest they know there is a problem and they are working on it whereas we are stuck. I think the slightly short sighted thinking about all is that we probably miss out on the Women’s World Cup plans as a 32k stadium but woukd achieve it as 40k stadium
  3. to be fair Luton have needed a new stadium for the best part of 40 years, that would be going ahead if they were back in National League. Youve hinted at one of the real reasons. There’s little financial gain from hotels and apartment towers. The whole economy has downturned in the period since the first plans - suspect that the whole financial model of the plans is skewed now. I think it’s often forgotten to that King Power’s finances are looking a little strained at the moment with reports of defaulting on an existing contract
  4. Theyve largely been unable to do anything with the stadium, it wasn’t in their ownership into this week
  5. Yeah your traditional pubs are similar to the UK. Your pretty ones and imported booze is where the price climbs
  6. 6 or 7 this season, at home or away Why would Spanish fans be bothered about a Brazilian football who’s never played in Spain? Club superbly spotted an opportunity with the Spanish podcast/vlog and have done well with it. Either way, should be top five 5 for Harbs next season. I suspect Crypto Bedford will be cash crazy
  7. Desperately trying to see where I can fit another trip
  8. To be fair a lot of the bars near the 3 Arena were charging £5.50 for a beer. Noticed that Hammarby’s youngster are playing in Swedish Third Division on the Saturday, their stadium is in a lovely area of Stockholm. Enjoy!
  9. Fair that’s your opinion. But I think Sandro has been a terrible waste of time and coverage gained from it would not be any more than the cup run did anyway I’ll politely disagree on the playing style. Quite similar to Anstey in that regard. Decent budget but safety first football
  10. Having lived in Brum, there’s certain space for a big venue to host a whole raft of events which doesn’t mean going to the NEC. The difficulty for this and the Villa project will be transport and crowd management. It’s a mess on the north side of the city where both of them are located - train stations in Villa’s case already at full capacity
  11. Ironically completed Phase 1 of their training ground this week and they have bought their stadium from the third party owner also too. Big step for them improving the ground
  12. Just reading about Sandro’s night. What a daft idea that all was in the end. Austin really messed up not starting Burgess, one of the few players at Harborough what is technically skilful and away from the ‘how do I say it’ agricultural football they largely play
  13. That’s working in Scotland right now. Attendances up.
  14. Seems similar.
  15. This hammy is niggly as anything - but I have been told it can be like that. I ran 8k yesterday lunch - christ it was lung bursting in the heat.
