  1. Last chance for a long time regards an international tournament which feels like a party
  2. When you think it’s such an obstacle for the genuine progress of LCFC. I suspect not.
  3. Personally find the ‘we won the PL’ line unambitious and meek. The club had a chance to throw off the tag of being an also ran. To do what clubs of a similar size have repeatedly achieved. To become a fresh, forward thinking club. For the city to have something it’s known for and for the next generations to have something envious. Meekly accepting ‘it is what is’ doesn’t help the club grow. Every forward pushing organisation is constantly assessing its performance, evaluating and evolving. We dont do any of those three.
  4. Rudkin been offered umpteen times for an interview by excellent journalists. He has no interest in it

  6. Don’t know if anyone saw his missus Instagram post after winning the league. Really humble comment about how sometimes you have to fall a little to rebuild Pair of them come across as very humble couple. Really top fella. Borderline legend really he should be
  7. It does. Just the flights are utter horror times. One benefit of Wizz though is their Flex option for £15 - which is very useful if they move the game (which they have done before) with little notice.
  8. Budapest-Belgrade High Speed line out of use until 2025 apparently but will make the time down to 2hrs 40mins!
  9. Cheers. I was trying to work out the best nearby train station. Bit of a geek for Yugoslav history so I’d like to stay in Belgrade
  10. Been looking at the Eternal Derby (Belgrade) since the fixture dates came out last week. I didn't realise the options to get into Belgrade be so limited.
  11. Do you think Rodgers should still be in charge ?
  12. Fair enough - responsibilities were very different at stage which has changed over time
  13. Rudkin did actually do a good job on Kante in persuading him. Widely documented since though it took Walsh a lot of a persuasion of Ranieri. I do find telling you are reaching back to 2016. Football moves quick. If we held the same to our managers, we’d still have Ranieri or Rodgers in charge
  14. In interim - whilst Steve Walsh overlooked it all
  15. I've been lucky enough to get to know a few folk who have dealings with the club through my own professional career. Everything is always with a pinch of salt and it's always 'after the event'. Wouldn't have a clue about the new manager.
  16. Yeah Vardy - signed before Mahrez - signed before Kante - signed in Aug 2015 - spoken about as Steve Walsh's no.1 target and he had to convince Ranieri Huth - signed in Jan 2015 on loan Morgan - signed before Okazaki - signed in June 2015 Maguire deal conducted by Whelan - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7320425/SPORTS-AGENDA-Hints-Harry-Maguires-80m-dropped-week-ago.html & https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/1116314/2019/08/05/woodward-was-quoted-80m-for-maguire-in-may-and-paid-it-in-august-heres-what-really-happened-in-between/ Fofana deal conducted by Whelan - Walsh leaves, Rudkin steps in to stamp his mark on the role in the summer of 2016. Zieler, Hernandez, Mendy, Musa, Kaputska, Slimani (at £40m - over £20m over the 'guide' price)
  17. Every player you’ve mentioned there was either signed before Rudkin was appointed Director of Football or the club had a very strong head of recruitment. Fofana and Maguire both required Whelan stepping in to agree the financial details
  18. Off Amsterdam 7 weeks Saturday - really looking forward to it. Will be concentrating on De Pijp, Jordaan and Noord rather than the inner ring chaos.
  19. You are right - annoyingly means we lose him for two months that horrific competition in August too.
  20. There's some irony to that given the man himself's own behaviour around the club. People are free to believe that/this or not - but he's hardly Mr Popular around the club and is not an easy person to deal with. This is to the point that LCFC have become over-reliant on a particular agent and agency in sourcing players and management.
  21. Or that some didn’t rate him as much as may be perceived
  22. Harmy was decent but Borthwick was hilariously bad.
  23. Really impressed by that tonight. And I always love an away win watching the stream and listening to commentator tears
  24. Exactly the question everyone is thinking. Windsor Park is too small. They won’t go with another GAA ground now you suspect. So do you have Murrayfield or another English ground?
  25. Casement Park won't be ready in time - pretty much confirmed by the GAA.
