  1. MFL Under 21s sadly so nowhere on the pyramid. Thinking it through - probably be able to enter a team in the Senior League but you'd be giving up a potential Step 5/6 spot next season.
  2. Hmm personally I don't think a council should be propping up a first team of semi-professional footballers. By all means the council should support the youth teams and funding directed there. If your reaction to the loss of funding from a council is to pull out of a division where players being paid four figures, then something isn't quite right. For me there should be two distinct budgets/organisations - adult set-up & youth set-up. If you are pulling your first team out of Step 3 because of some lost council funding, I don't have much respect. Adjust the budget accordingly - next season play step 5 or 6 and maintain a pathway from youth to adult.
  3. The chance would be gone with the resignation. Do the reserves play in Leics Senior? Most comparable situation I can think is Rushden and Diamonds who literally had a year supporting their Under 18s as they had miss the chance to put the reformed fans chance back in the pyramid.
  4. Shocker that. I don’t get the complete pulling out of it all. Reduce the budget to pittance and keep the club ticking over until something of interest comes in. The immediate resignation gives no scope to salvage something.
  5. Well there's a couple of Bundesliga 2 grounds I fancy
  6. Think really Ajax this summer want to install a backroom staff of their own - therefore Potter can't bring his big backroom with him. Ajax are trying to sort themselves out in terms of synergy between head coach to sporting director/DoF.
  7. There is something we can say with certainty. Enzo won't hang around because there's good evidence he was lied by the clubs hierarchy on one occasion. The level of trust is burnt and he has no confidence that it will change. So first decent interest potentially sees him off or pushing for a new contract on fair wedge. I know he has links at Chelsea but I can't believe anyone at Chelsea watched our defensive shape at Stamford Bridge this season and I thought that's the man we want as our next manager. That wasn't personnel - that was at times a complete car crash of positioning your deepest midfielder, exposing your centre halves and getting caught out of position. That's not me being overtly critical - he's a manager learning on the spot and repeatedly throughout this season he showed his inexperience. In the process showing that he needs longer lower down the food chain. He's nowhere near Big 6 club level.
  8. I suspect it will be mid July knowing us by the way we are sorted
  9. Off to the otherwise beer desert of Melton Mowbray - for Round Corner Brewing
  10. All relative to the economy of the country and the size of their respective clubs budgets. E.g what’s small in England is big in Sweden. Honestly think the point you make about legal challenges because a lack of VAR is nonsense. Why? 1. The use of VAR is still controlled by an individual with a subjective opinion. This doesn’t change with or without it. It’s always the referees decision excepting offsides (bar inference decisions) 2. We have games currently played in the FA Cup and League Cup without any VAR. There’s been no legal challenge to an incorrect decision there. 3. Good example of the game between Villa and Sheffield United during Covid lockdown. The goal line technology didn’t work, VAR didn’t step in despite good evidence. Villa stayed up, Bournemouth went down. Despite seek legal advice, Bournemouth did not pursue a claim of compensation or a replay of the game.
  11. Sweden took the stand recently not to adopted it
  12. You’d have to look up Wasserman clients. Rudders be straight on the phone to Johnny Morris and Potter.
  13. If you look at a very basic consideration, the PSR/FFP allowance of £35m drops to £13m on the forthcoming calculation of it means you only have make up £12m as opposed to £22m. Hard cash, pure profit. You start to think we don’t need to lose Dewsbury Hall and maybe we get away with flogging squad players
  14. Personally I disagree they are all contracted assets that you can improve on and it’s about assessing their worth & value quite simply.
  15. It most definitely counts for the next FFP calculation. Coaching staff are included. It might change when they switch the FFP PSR model in 25/26. I wouldn’t use Chelsea’s judgement as a great indicator of knowledge either.
  16. Seems some can’t differentiate Teapot’s opinion. Ie Is it a good deal - rather than a ‘hate boner’ If you got offered £10m for an encouraging player with just 60 games appearances and after a 7.5 out of 10 season. You’d be interested in listening. Especially as you’d struggle ever to get more £10m compensation without a spur in ability. And it’s increasingly like his agent and him are going to push for a new contract
  17. John Morris going to use this regardless if the interest is true or not.
  18. We will see how much this hierarchy has learnt
  19. Saints fans playing a blinder on social media winding them up
  20. Won’t get punished. Substantial amounts of the evidence is from emails which were sourced illegally by a hacker. Dates back ten years ago with none of the charges relating to anything past 2014
  21. Leicester Road Stadium is really run down now. Alongside a long standing ownership issue where the land is all divided up. Have to keep playing at the King Power - anything gives it a secondary thought feel. They can. Average is obviously a lot lower.
  22. There will be at least one occasion where they get made to look like idiots and at least one occasion where their fans will kick off at a tiny ground ran by volunteers
  23. What do you mean? You are unlikely to be in the FA Cup as well
  24. I was thinking that but wonder if his connection with the Emirates would cause a problem
