  1. I’m simply not having that Ipswich aren’t lucky. It’s ****ing unreal
  2. Too idealistic with players what can’t play the system he wants. Increasingly clear once you take Jannik and Ricky P out of the system
  3. 300% - 1 shot, 3 deflections, keeper claimed it
  4. We can clarify one of Rudkin’s responsibilities. Tanner on the latest BSLB pod openly talke about him wanting top prices for LCFC players - as a result, that would suggest he had a pretty good handle on ‘values’ of players coming in as well if he’s the negotiator for outgoings too.
  5. Half of this squad, if not more got very much burnt last season.
  6. Saw the wedding table plan. Putting the Birch next to one of the only two daughters the King of Thailand has was an error considering the other is in a coma.
  7. That’s aged remarkably well. Failed to mention the positive that squad have in bucketloads over this bunch - real grit and desire
  8. My understanding no. Read from that what you will. It’s like Succession this club at the upper echelons. Would make a cracking series
  9. My experience with Italy is that they are pretty arsed. It even occurs in the home ends
  10. He has succeeded at a higher level - his return in the French top flight is quite impressive to be fair.
  11. Villa are close. But it's gone relatively under the radar - they brought in a decent sum of money selling off their younger players which is another benefit in the FFP box. Lots of rumours in Birmingham that the pause in extension to Villa Park is that the owners would need to take out loans for liquid cash - (okay they get away with the investment on FFP but it would stretch other parts of the club). Newcastle have made decisions affected by FFP - see ASM's sale to Saudi and throw in a load of CL cash.
  12. Which is one of the reasons I think it's going to be tight. Creative accounting possible around something like that. Also noise that Everton have difficulty trying to persuade PL that some loans they have taken on are in relation to the new stadium.
  13. Bad journalism that - financial results are different to FFP PSR calculations. The £105m limit refers to PSR calculation/allowance - that is not the same as the financial accounts. Merely the accounts give a guide before its put through the PSR calculation.
  14. Majority of those clubs get more money from TV, ticket sales, merchandise sales etc
  15. Listen to Big Strong Leicester Boys Podcast - about midway through it gets onto FFP.
  16. The previous accounts are all the evidence you need to state it’s going to be tight for compliance. Particularly when you look at how much Saints have lost this financial year
  17. Tanner’s confidence that we won’t comply and will cry mitigation are worrying to say the least
  18. When he arrived in March, they finished that season 8th. Then finished 5th last season and sat in 6th (very tight between 4th and 6th there). Transfer wise Lookman and Hojlund have been huge successes. Flogged Boga for 18 million euros. Ederson a clever pick up. Got De Ketelare in on a loan to permanent deal and he’s looked a lot better than his time in Milan. They signed El Bilal Toure for 30 million euros - he’s been injured most of the season but coming back fit and scored 1 in 55 mins. Scamacca been average. But been decent work by Congerton really
  19. Where's the suggestion he's a Leeds fan? His twitter account has no sign of Leeds instead suggestions that he's a Cambridge fan? Or are we already heading for the Everton foil hat club?
  20. I am going to say and people won't like it. He's nowhere near worth the money we are going to have to pay if we get promoted.
  21. Seems a very easy article without major conviction or detail to publish. The same applies to Leeds and Saints. But was told by a poster last week that I was wrong in my convictions that the FFP position is very grave and serious. We are burying our heads in the sand to think otherwise Anyone what thinks this club has a handle on it are in for shock. A lack of promotion probably see us stung on FFP for two seasons, possibly three dependent on how bad last year's PSR calculation was.
  22. I'd say also say the data in terms of 'expected' performance has Ipswich 4th on every single of the categories - that includes on a 90 minute ratio as well.
  23. Leeds actual points were about bang on on Opta's last analysis Actual Goals - 65 xG - 61.3 xAG - 43.8 They are the most realistic of stats/performance comparison of the top four. Ie. they are performing exactly to what the stats suggest. That evens includes goals against to expected goals against (28 to 29) F'kin hell you can tell I am off work today
  24. If you want to bring some stats to the 'Are Ipswich fortunate' debate According to FBref - actual goals 70, xG 56.4 and their expected assists which is probably the biggest indicator is 41 which suggests a bit of fortune there. However their xGA - goals against suggests they've been unlucky at the back. Opta's expected points to actual point had us, Saints and Ipswich all with high differences
  25. Like a fcuking idiot I am doing this trip via national express and a train back to Nuneaton.
