  1. exactly what i was thinking. what difference does it make to LCFC? the seat is empty otherwise and with the entire ticketing system automated and online general sale cause no extra work for LCFC staff. with the trial maybe they want to weight up the revenue they will receive from general ticket sales v the revenue they will lose from reduced membership benefits. Potentially the club face revenue loss as there is a fixed number of general sales tickets available against an almost infinite number of memberships available i.e. people who don't go on a regular basis will no longer purchase a membership because they can get a ticket on general sales. However this argument ignores the fact that while revenue should be an important part of running a club it should not be the deciding factor that determines whether or not fans attend a game.
  2. Well done. Unfortunately the general sale condition comes too late for my family to take advantage of it having left the UK after a 2 week holiday there over the Christmas period but I hope it gets a good take up and is made permanent for the next time we visit.
  3. From and Australian Newspaper today Towering defender Harry Souttar fears for his Socceroos future due to his lack of football at club level. Despite his name being one of the first on national coach Graham Arnold’s team sheet, Souttar admits that will end if he continues to sit on the bench for English Championship leaders Leicester City. The 200cm centre-back has made just four appearances, only two of them as a starter, in all competitions for Leicester this season as he remains out of favour with manager Enzo Maresca. Souttar has been linked with moves to Scotland and Saudi Arabia, as well as English Premier League cellar dwellers, but is adamant a move has “not even crossed” his mind as he concentrates on the Socceroos’ current Asian Cup campaign in Qatar. “My full concentration is on Australia and I think it would be disrespectful to the country, my teammates, and the staff here if my head was anywhere else and thinking about these other things when we’ve got a massive tournament here,” he said. Harry Souttar is working hard on the training paddock at the Asian Cup. Picture: Robert Cianflone/Getty Images However, the 25-year-old Scotland-born Socceroo knows he can’t afford to remain inactive at club level if he wants to continue being selected for Australia. “It’s not been great that I’ve not got match minutes at my club, and obviously I know that can’t continue if I want to be a part of the national team,” Souttar said. “Any player just wants to play football so I’m looking at it as a positive that I’m here (in Qatar) and I’m getting minutes and playing football, doing what I love again. “You always want to pull that (Socceroos) shirt on. It just gives you an added something. “You’re running on adrenaline and you’re playing football for a different reason as well, which always helps. “There’s always that little bit more of that something special in the air.” The battle between Kye Rowles and Cameron Burgess to be Souttar’s central defensive partner was one of coach Arnold’s tougher selection decisions entering the tournament. Ipswich Town’s Burgess got the nod for the Socceroos’ 2-0 warm-up win over Bahrain, but it was Hearts centre-back Rowles who partnered Souttar in Australia’s opening Group B clash against India, which also ended in a 2-0 victory for Arnold’s men. “We’ve got four centre-halves, along with Thomas Deng who’s a fantastic player. I’ve played alongside him many times at the Olympics as well,” Souttar said. “Us four are fighting for those spots. The training levels and standards have to be high to get in a team. “There’s no-one promised a place, so everyone’s got to bring it every day, which again, just helps the team culture really. “What’s great about this team is that no matter who’s picked … the support from the ones that aren’t starting is more important.”
  4. See how rusty he is today. Australia play India in their opening game of the Asian Cup at 2.30pm here in Qatar (11.30 am Uk time) and Souttar is sure to be in the Oz starting 11. Expecting Australia to win easily. They beat India 4-0 earlier this year but have lost to them 3 times in the past (out of 9 games). I have tickets so will be there.
  5. when i was 8 years old i was coached by FB. He was with the New York Cosmos on their 1979 tour of Australia. I one of the winners (along with a few other kids) of a competition at the time run by Nutella to attend a morning training session with the Cosmos. My memory of it is quite vague but i do recall receiving a pass from him. Of course i have never washed my foot since.
  6. Against Salah it was Dec 28, 2021 LCFC (1) v Liverpool (0) he rated 8 on foxes talk.
  7. I bought Birmingham tickets for the Birmingham V LCFC game they were digital tickets and they charged a transaction fee too although i recall it was GBP1 per ticket and not GBP 1.5. Just proves that all you who live Leicester probably live in a higher social demographic quartile that those that live in Birmingham and this is reflected in the difference between transaction fees
  8. if i don't live in the UK why should i know one person with a UK address? or should i just approach a random stranger in the street and ask? No junior membership with international .. so again do your research before you make incorrect claims. You can't buy more than one ticket per membership it says it plainly on the website .
  9. Er mate read the ticket page £40 for international membership (the only option if you don't have a UK address) and one guest ticket per supporter number. OK to see one match while in the Uk I could have bought two memberships for a total £80 (and not £160) and then added two guests still an extra £80 would have made the total match price of £173 for 2 adults and two children not £106 as you state.
  10. No problem. From others comments like "You've got more chance of driving to Buckingham palace and getting let in by Charlie." seemed to be the level of comments some thought funny. BTW for those that mentioned it yes there were plenty of empty seats in the section I sat.
  11. Neither I met an LCFC supporter at the World Cup in Qatar (I live in Qatar) he (season ticket holder) messaged me offering to help. I had ticketing numbers for me and one of my sons. He set up ticketing numbers for my wife and other son purchased 4 tickets sent them to my email. You have to download them to Google pay and I fixed him up with the cash at the ground before the game. Bit of a hassle but better than paying £160 for 4 international memberships used for 1 game.
  12. Not you mate..... the 2 that tagged my post with laughing emoji and no comments and the other 3 or 4 that gave no advice but smart comments.
  13. For all the ****ets who said we wouldn't make it without buying a membership stick that up your laughing emoji. Thats to Jami!
  14. Thanks I would be forever in your debt if you could get me 4 tickets. I have sent you a message. My father was an LCFC supporter who passed it on to me (despite living in OZ). One of my two boys is an LCFC supporter (despite living in Qatar) the other one has designs on Liverpool. That needs to be stamped out immediately.
  15. I am going to drive to Leicester tomorrow morning to see if i can some tickets for the game. Is there an actual physical ticket office at the ground? I want 4 tickets (for my wife, 2 kids and me). None of us are members or have any purchase history. We are in the UK for a holiday until 27th Dec and i want to see if i can get some without paying up to 160 GBP for membership (before paying for the tickets) that we will only use once. Cheers Stephen

  17. Why the difference between LCFC and Birmingham. As I said in my post I took 5 mins to buy tickets to the recent Birmingham game sitting with Birmingham supporters. No extra membership fees required just had to register on the site.
  18. Timely forum!!! It is f'ing ridiculous how hard it is to get a ticket to a home game. I am in the UK with my family for a holiday. I bought 4 tickets to the Birmingham game sitting with Birmingham supporters because apart from being extremely easy to buy was the only sure way my 2 young boys would get to see a LCFC game. I have only convinced one of them so far to follow LCFC (the 9 yo) while the 7 yo is taking more convincing. They both enjoyed the game but said they would have liked to be with the LCFC supporters. I have been trying the past couple of days to get tickets to Rotherham game but it is both expensive and an administrative nightmare. To become members would cost us £96 in total for the local membership or £160 for the international membership. Then we have to purchase the 4 tickets. I don't know, probably £200+ just to see one game. I put a post on here a couple of days ago about getting tickets. A couple of people kindly gave me suggestions including getting another member to buy the tickets as a guest. Ignoring the fact that I don't know any other LCFC members this require that everyone in my family have a supporter number. As I am registered at LCFC.com I found out I have supporter number but to get one for my wife and 2 boys require their registration at LCFC.com. Registration also requires a separate email address for each registration so I have to set up an email address for each child and this requires a 2 stage activation which blah blah blah blah blah. I gave up! Bottom line my 1 LCFC supporting child is very dissapointing about not seeing LCFC at home and my yet to be convinced LCFC supporting child has probably formed the opinion that it is all to hard to support LCFC and he is now a life long Birmingham supporters as you can buy tickets to their games online in 5 minutes.
  19. need 3 tickets if anyone can advise how to get them ....
  20. I am visiting the UK and would like to attend the Rotherham match with my two boys (7 and 9) who have never been to a LCFC match. Anyone selling tickets or know where i can get 3 tickets from? Cheers Stephen
