  1. Deadline Day
  2. Another long term ( ish ) injury
  3. I'm sure your your kind words of support are really helping as he ponders on whether to sign a new contract or move to pastures new He certainly wasn't poor last night but on the other hand he wasn't fantastic either Strangely enough he played like a very inexperienced 17 year old who showed glimpses of real potential that most supporters observed and acknowledged
  4. His Agent is hawking him around every league in Europe and not a single offer where he remains on the same financial terms Some interest if he takes a pay cut which surprise surprise he is unwilling to take Outside chance that once the window closes and he is still here then he will knuckle down but I wouldn't bank on it
  5. And which parent Club do you think would be happy to let one of their (young) players come into the vile toxic workplace we currently have ? Not exactly full of good role models in fact its completely the opposite Until that is resolved getting our own young lads to sign contracts and getting loanees to come on board is proving very difficult All of the above is of our own doing I might add and not Glovers
  6. Know what you are saying about the swamp both way off being good enough to be near the first team even in our current state Jake Evans didn't do a great deal last night but should be in front of those 2 Aluko looked like a groin strain but not sure on severity
  7. I doubt that position will have changed now we have received the derisory amount for Trey awarded by the totally impartial Tribunal
  8. With the state they are in we might get chance to see Will Grainger play for them He is a striker we should be bidding for regardless of the mess they are in
  9. The Ronnie Corbett 11 Some of them might be tall enough in theory but how many would be really good in the air ? Only Nelson for me If the ball couldn't go above head height then that team might well be mid championship standard at the very least
  10. Was decent enough enough until he turned into the incredible hulk last summer and then became a ponderous lump of muscle for all of last season Outside chance he could turn it around I guess as at the younger age groups he was very good
  11. U21's lost 1 nil against Lincoln today in behind closed doors friendly
  12. Totally agree and Motsi has an even higher ceiling
  13. I just picked 2 random players as an example and probably didn't do a very good job as they don't even play in the same position although they are all midfielders of sorts
  14. Think I would probably do the same !! Joking aside it might be that Rudkin has offered the best financial package for all we know but another Club have guaranteed him first team football pretty much straight away so they decided that was more important for his long term development
  15. Hit the nail on the head regarding his involvement at the end of last season ( or the lack of it ) being a real issue Having a pathway to first team football is so important to young players and if one is offered elsewhere then naturally their heads will be turned. Obviously financial gains come into the equation but for some it isn't the over riding factor On the flip side Rudkin has to balance up what the pathway might look like for a host of young players and ultimately has to make some tough calls He might think that in Pages position he has, for arguments sake, Henry Cartwright ( older ) and Darren Motsi ( younger ) who are better long term prospects and therefore can't guarantee Page a clear and concise pathway to the first team. He therefore offers Page a contract of "x" number of years a salary of "y". Other clubs will be in exactly the opposite position and don't have a Page coming through their Academy but are desperate to get one so offer him better terms than LCFC and a clear pathway to the first team If you were the player or parent what would you do ? If you were the players Agent what would you do to best serve your Client ? Not sure there are any right or wrong answers
  16. In other words before Saturdays game ( for those that think it was rejected AFTER he scored a couple of goals and was therefore Agent lead )
  17. Dyche was at Seagrave last week
  18. I did try telling you last week Wasn't exactly rocket science but some ITK's obviously knee better
  19. Not sure you need to be an ITK to know this isn't happening
  20. Bit of water to go under that bridge
  21. Problem is with the amount of games ( and injuries ) you simply need numbers and have to accept therefore that some players will simply be squad fillers That's the harsh reality of professional football and it's a real bonus if one of those squad fillers massively exceeds expectations In an ideal world everyone of a certain level plays up a year or two but some times the physical demands are just too much No doubt in the very near future we will be releasing some squad players who are out of contract ( Hill being one ) only to be replaced by some more squad fillers that are free and everyone will moan about it again
