  1. Ah .... sorry lads. As the username suggests, I'm not from these parts & an ex girlfriend dragged me to the old Filbert St way back. I'm delighted she did, glad I saw it, a real place. Was in Pen 2 I believe, Spurs & Derby. Even ended up with a ST for a bit at Leicester & will always keep an eye. Still see the odd game. The game I'm on about was Villa / Wigan 2018. & no I'm not a Villa fan either. & it does look like I've remembered an OG incorrectly in my original post too now I look the game up. If I'm free, if I can, I'll take in a game. All of it, till the ref ends it.
  2. My favourite memory of this is sitting next to a group of five, I was at the game alone. Four of the five made the early exit leaving me & one stranger & a goal behind. The equaliser came We laughed together Then an added injury late late winner from the same player who equalised. Stranger looks at me and says, we stayed, we ****ing stayed & he hugged me & I hugged him & we did a little jumpy dance of happiness and that moment was worth all the times I stayed for nothing. Forever. I don't get the leavers.
  3. This is it man. I'll keep trying. Honestly, it should have been out of sight at HT and I believe that fully. Time will tell I guess.
  4. I am serious It would have been a blessed kindness if Solanke had done what he should. This giddiness on here today will only yield greater pain later.
  5. I watched it I saw Spurs find a way not to win, its what they do. It was that as much as anything from our manager.
  6. Again I understand why you say that. Rodgers wasn't adrift at the bottom. Cooper could well be and from an early stage. What I'm saying is I don't see middle ground here, it'll be ok, or it'll tailspin and I'm liking tailspin, from what I saw earlier ( scoreline apart, granted )
  7. I do take your point. I thought parts were worryingly bad, like no methodology had been ingrained. In times of low resources, its important to be good at what you can do & we were very lucky not to be several goals down & luck like that doesn't hold.
  8. Hasn't stopped me getting on it at 6/1 for him to win the sack race. Anyone other than genetically defective Spurs bury that game. And most will. Goals change games & I get that but Christ that was so poor first half, playing a low defensive formation at home and still coughing up sights of goal & free headers all first half. Thirteen corners .... L at Fulham L when Villa come L at Palace Are all very possible. Everton on the 21st will already be a relegation sixpointer & the tougher games begin after that.
  9. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear. Ok, I'll play. Who should we sign now, who in four years will do a Szmodics ? Everyone is all ears. Go on .... ?
  10. We need a manager who wants to stand there fcuking naked on the sideline he's so consumed by the job he doesn't even get fcuking dressed but reluctantly will wrap a towel around him brought by Rudkin & only on matchdays. The rest of the time, bollock naked muttering something about tactics and those bastards Saturday
  11. Corblimey wasn't funny the first time you said it. It won't ever be.
  12. It just didn't go well there under him & he didn't do well. They've been in relegation form since Christmas and Brighton see that too, they got him out. It'd be a huge risk. & I just don't warm to a guy picking on the young lads in the side publicly & regularly.
  13. De Zerbi is a cretin who took to throwing a nineteent year old debut season kid, who was playing through an operation requiring ankle injury for him, under the bus regularly and then saying another academy kid could replace the nineteen year old one, publicly. He couldn't, when the other one said sod this I'm off to get my ankle sorted ya wan ker. De Zerbi also had Brighton in solid relegation territory form throughout 2024. He is not more attack minded. His side are dour to watch & the more his influence was felt the fewer points they won.
  14. Three league wins this calendar year. & a manager who's throwing one young player in particular under the bus a bit & seems a bit of a cnut overall. If he's still there next season they're worth a small punt to drop.
  15. It is difficult to take in how someone who follows this club, a club who can deliver the most incredible highs but also the most stunning heartbreaking collapses from winning positions, not just in individual games but league positions especially, can be daft enough to start a thread like this, at this particular point in time.
  16. Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Woo
  17. If that helicopter hadn't gone down, this club is not only still PL but probably in Europe and possibly in the CL. It ended there that evening, it just took a while to bleed out. Its difficult to blame the son for not being the man his father was. Its not his fault he doesn't share his fathers dream / vision / investment, in this club even if he was the man his father was. The fans all know the tide turned that day and the fans are decent people who don't want to inflict that on the guy who has suffered enough & is still here when he probably should have drawn a line under it some time ago. He should look to sell, there's no disgrace in it, its not his failure, its just how lifes cruel game dealt the cards on this one. That's my two cents on why the lack of anger and demand for accountability in the fanbase.
