  1. I supported giving Vesty a year with Enzo as manager, maybe 2 at a push because it was clear he would be used by Enzo moving forward. However we now have no manager, so dont know if he would be used and I think 3 years is too much. Mistake from the club, and it seems they still dont know what they are doing.
  2. We can, the EPL failed to get enough votes to close the loophole. Hence my previous reply.
  3. You sure? We still did the contract for Silva some years back when we missed registration deadline. Tried to find out, to me the wording isnt clear for new signings, however there is a question in the FAQ about new contracts to existing players, and it says its allowed. https://www.efl.com/governance/embargoes/
  4. Its a shift (assuming Moyes changes it), but most of the squad isnt suited to Enzo's style anyway so many players would be more comfortable. To make Enzo ball work this season we would be needing to do major squad surgery in a situation when we have no money.
  5. If you we stop dishing out such high wages, then that will get playing costs down long term, which makes FFP a short term problem. Longer term issues exist of course, but selling your best player is not the right option when you can just sell training ground to yourself instead.
  6. Curious which way we voted on it. We should definitely sell Seagrave to KP, would be a far better decision than selling KDH who wont be pushing to move away, but does the board have that football brain to work it out?
  7. Even actual people with contacts are sent astray because Top is incredibly indecisive. Remember January transfer window.
  8. They obviously do care about us, otherwise they wouldnt talk about us, however my only interest in them is the same as Derby, and Coventry really, they are a local team, but nothing more then that, I have never understood why people on here treat them as some kind of big rival and go mad if we take on a ex forest player/manager. Guessing its a generational thing.
  9. What is progressive football? and should football ideology come ahead of basic common sense with working with what you got?
  10. Its not like their win rate has sky rocketed since he left. Interestingly Corberan who seems to be favoured here unlike Cooper couldnt navigate the playoffs, whilst Cooper not only dragged a low placed team to promotion, but he also kept them up.
  11. Sadly some people only seem to think in black and white, they seem to think if possession isnt the emphasis it must mean we all want 100% hoof ball, like there is nothing in between. To call it 80s style as well wtf, we won the league playing counter short memories, and more than half the EPL isnt pure possession ball. I have the exact same frustration, a forward pass is on, or space to run into, space to make a shot, but instead a backward pass is done as its the safer option.
  12. Moyes is the clear best choice. It will be really frustrating if we dont employ Moyes, its extremely fortunate he is available. Although I think someone like Cooper at least has 1 season of staying up under his belt which would make him a better choice than Corberan.
  13. They making a profit, are an established EPL club, they a step up from where we are now. Time isnt static. We not where we were 5 years ago. However KDH has said if he is to leave us he wants it to be a significant jump, either abroad or to a big EPL club. I would rather us breach 2023/24 FFP than sell KDH personally. It would be a poor footballing decision.
  14. 100% agree on this and numerous other people have suggested the same thing, yet they wont change it, its silly. VAR is supposed to reverse "clear and obvious" errors, if it needs multiple replays, angles etc. its not clear and obvious.
  15. Idiots, I would say 135m was easily too low as well, that increase doesnt even cover inflation. Just waiting for the FFP pyramid scheme to collapse now anyway.
  16. Yeah thanks for this, my thoughts are similar to yours, it looks like there is a ongoing process that will have the club potentially own the stadium eventually, and it seems they already own Seagrave from this statement as well, just my interpretation of course.
  17. According to sky support for FFP is down to barely half of the EPL, there is also a division between western and eastern owners of clubs brewing.
  18. You laughing at a good post, he is right.
  19. Because the January events likely contributed to the decision, and they were not on the same wave length as the manager. He had lost trust in them. Also from some posts on here he wanted Rudkin out and the board wasnt going to play ball on it. Not going to disagree with you on him being a weasel though, I think some managers and players need to show more loyalty than they do, but I think in this case you can sort of understand it. Bear in mind some of us on here warned Enzo wasnt a good fit, tika taka managers want and need support to keep them happy, not many players are suited to the system so lots of ££ is needed to get a squad ready for such a manager, this is why I keep banging on about a disconnect between the board and the squad and the manager. We really do need a proper DoF to coordinate it all, as well as someone to challenge Top on his decision making.
  20. Kante gave his word to Claudio, ironically he left also abruptly to the same club. I still remember when Claudio got asked about it at some event (was on the fly question after he was spotted somewhere) and I remember his response to this day, utter surprise and visible deflation.
  21. KDH was great in his breakthrough season, I said to a few people he is a future mega priced player. He then dropped off which I think coincided with the entire squad dropping of in Rodgers final 2 seasons. This season he showed clear quality above this level, and the second half of season was held back by Enzo who didnt like him dribbling the ball forward or shooting. If he gets a manager that gives him freedom, he should shine.
  22. As I understand it, you sell a player, then the full value is counted for that season. Whilst buying a player its amortised, so assuming we resign him on 3 year contract and same wages with no player signing on fee and no agent fees it would be a 60m profit for PSR for the first season, but then a negative 30m for the next 2 seasons. It would be interesting if there was a chance it would be allowed, but we not a big 6 club, so of course they wouldnt allow it. I also think we wont have this form of FFP for much longer. Legal challenges and threat of legislation will kill it.
  23. Talking about his first season but I get your point. I think what happened the year after was chaos, but he kept them up anyway.
  24. Embargo doesnt stop it, embargo is player registration, not player contracts.
  25. So did cooper though, but you didnt give him the same respect.
