Fans picking the manager is a bit extreme, but any club owner should take fan behaviour on board, and now days any sensible company would have someone trawling the internet, giving out surveys etc. to get a feel for the mood of their customer (fan) base. If I remember right the chairman at the time told MoN some angry fans were outside, in this era, Top would just not care less. Top just keeps repeating the same decisions whilst acting as if its some kind of reset.

I want him out twice over now.

Too depressed over the appointment to give this a proper reply, sorry. We going in a bad direction.

For those who think Top isnt obsessed with style of play and has no input on managers. Check the end of this article. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/06/13/russell-martin-appointed-manager-of-leicester-city/

How many games until we concede from keeper playing out, curious if league one forward players press enough.

Does a video saying he will communicate more, does no more communication, and continues same football strategy. I be very surprised if much changes financially as well. Expecting us to continue to breach spending rules.

The club seems to think they above scouting lower divisions now.

If you consider what we know. Thai's wont lose face on depreciating assets. We incapable of moving players on. Top likely sees Vesty and Winks as two of our best players because of their ability to pass the ball. (I think Vesty is much better than Winks at this). So tie this in with that Top is obsessed with a way of playing, he has looked for a manager to fit some players he cant get rid off, and just keep kicking that tippy tappy can down the road in the mean time.

In the EPL he made himself known as a EFL player, opponents often identified him as a weakness, as he just went missing without the ball, and kept losing possession, just not enough quality, but unlike other players no work ethic, strength, height, toughness to compensate.

I tried to use an AI generator image, but no go, it seems to just find existing pics of the net. So imagine this. The dream team. Top <------arm------ ------arm-----> Vestergaard Martin Winks

This is fair, which is really why if Top wants this style, the squad for it should be built before getting the manager, not the other way round. Usually when clubs successfully achieve it, they are already established in the top division, and have spent time building the squad, the manager then becomes the final piece of the jigsaw. I also agree with you its not black and white, and styles can be mixed when appropriate during games. For me I have observed 3 main issues in all recent seasons. 1 - Perceived lack of fitness, which in turn hinders our pressing and positional play. 2 - Lack of aggression. 3 - A over reliance on slow build up play (possession), we do so little sprints with ball now, even dribbling forward slowly with it. Our last manager said he recognised the team was incapable of defending without holding on to the ball, which is an indicator as well, that too much attention is been put in to one area.

Im not a fan of Enzo's style but I recognise he does get the respect of the players more and then they buy into his system, which probably translates to your observation, it felt professional under Enzo. I expect a factor in Enzo's hasty exit is he knew the squad wasnt really capable of the style. Martin on the other hand when it starts going wrong just starts demonising players.

They picked him for style of football, Top is in his own little world, distanced from everything. We need a new owner more than anything, everything else is just broken for as long as Top is here, including style of play and manager preference.
-
Its not unsurprising, we will just keep being run the same way, and chase the same style of football for as long as Top is the owner and Rudkin is his lapdog.

Just watched vinnie jones on netflix, fashanu does hard tackle, then to distract ref from his colleague, vinnie barges in to another player, right after. Give me a manager to harden up our players.

Its how they have handled player assets as well, selling at a loss would have been an admittance book value is too high, so instead they let them rot and expire.
-
Well if its accepted he hasnt got a clue, then it doesnt matter how much he wants to fix it, we will just see failure. Also when I say fix it, he probably sees the problem that needs fixing as a different problem, which is again about his lack of ability and decisiveness. I expect the fix for top is "we promote".

Whilst 3 was seen as the great escape, it always felt that the team simply wasnt quite clicking, there was good structure behind the scenes. #2 it just prolongs the pain, and his losses. #1 is what we waiting for.

Could we go into Administration next season?
Chrysalis replied to Lineker's Left Foot's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think the main issue has always been wages, but it is true we have a player trading issue where unless we can make a nice profit on a player on book value, we just wont sell them. We then just extend the financial pain paying the high wages until contract ends.
