Take Man C v Man U. Historically a fractious, highly contested fixture with loads of incidents and excitement, even as a neutral it was one to watch. The last derby was so tedious.

You haven't failed anyone, especially your parents. You said you have a strong relationship, that makes for strong support and understanding from them. You will never let them down even if you feel you might have. They must love you as their son, no matter what. Sometimes one needs to be honest with those that care the most, even though it's not easy to do. Once that honesty hurdle is gone and you've opened up, it's surprising what those that care, and even those that are "strangers", can do to lift you up. And those "strangers" can be posters on here, or others that have had, or are having similar experiences. Life is a shared experience and even when you think you're the only one feeling what you're feeling, there's so many others walking the same path.

Self explanatory really. Following on from @tom27111 post. For me when I was 14 I got an Airfix model of the Saturn 5 rocket that took the men to the moon. As well as a Scalextric and an air rifle. That was some Christmas. Since then, before Covid, I was gifted a trial flying lesson and a supercar driving experience. Anything else is pretty much lost in the mists of time.

Not really the answer but I get it. Sorry that you have to suffer. I too find this time of year really difficult mainly because of traumas caused by our daughter and her MH issues that have resulted in her arrests and OD's and self harming on several Christmas day's gone by. The memories of those experiences still haunt me every year.
