What do you think agents are for?

I find it really interesting that players that a club are interested in can out live a manager, head of recruitment etc... I mean, it pretty obvious really, that there are people within those teams that will out live there bosses. But still.

Yes, that I totally agree with. Absolutely shambles that him AND Rodgers should accept total responsibility for. Do you think Rudkin would be happy that he turned down offers for Cags to have him sit on the bench all season? Of course not. But if the manager is saying he wants to keep a player then what do you do?

Does everyone realize that rumors usually come from agents who are acting in the interest of players...not clubs. They'll be lots of enquiries, lots of talking to agents happening. Just because we don't hear about it doesn't mean the club are not working really smart/hard at getting players in and out. Rumors until things almost done is what we want.

Our DoF didn't sell players last summer because clubs were offering terrible prices. Not sure what you expect.

On the face of it, 8m seems very low. But I wonder whether wages are a factor here. (maybe no relegation reduction?) So maybe this is a sale we need and not one that we want. I really like Nacho, but let's not forgot he blows very hot and cold. At his best he's a goal and assist machine. At his worst he looks like a pub player. Sell for the right price for me. 15m seems reasonable given last year of contract.
