I have heard multiple times from Ruud that the standards need to be raised and I fully agree with him, one thing you can't accuse Ruud of is not being professional and having standards, he's spent his career at clubs like United and Madrid, he knows what is required from everyone. I would prefer Ruud to go for both of our sakes, and I've been given no evidence he could rebuild us, part of me does have a gut instinct that we would be top 6 with him next season, but that's probably blind faith.
-
Fully behind Ruud on this. Don't rate Winks half as much as many do, sideways 5 yard pass merchant, very little else to his game. He was exceptional last season where he was specifically instructed to recycle possession horizontally. 75% of his passes in the championship were sideways or backwards, something that many players in that division could have done competently. He's not a prem player in the slightest when it comes to fighting relegation, he's a luxury player that slots well into a decent squad, he's not someone you need in the trenches, reminds me of James Maddison but without the magic. I'm also quite suspicious of his attitude, comes across well infront of the camera, however there was a strong rumour he was one of the big leaks at the players being unhappy with Cooper, then when Cooper was sacked we saw his antics abroad. Not a character I want at the club from what i've seen.
-
Yeah I can't see it either, he's going for Europe with Strasbourg, with that said though, the Prem is a hell of an incentive especially if you go to one of the favourites.
-
Danny was Ralph Hassenhuttls assistant 2018/19 season, if it comes to a straight choice between us and Southampton he 100% goes with Southampton, they are on a much better footing than we are and imo the favourites next season. The rumours are though that Southampton are also interested in Liam Rosenior, so our best bet if we were in contact with DR is Southampton stalling to make a decision.

I've been told time and time again "why would rohl want to join this" People really need to spend a few hours and properly research the situation at Wednesday, it makes Top look like childs play. Rohl will 100% come here. GET. ON. THE. PHONE. TOP.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
cityfanlee23 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Im reminded of this classic story whenever I think of Leicester City. -
Anyway... Where were we? Ahh yes, race week
-
Top needs to call up Danny Rohl, organise a private 1-1 with nobody aware, guarantee him the job in summer with full backing of the owner, full control of everything. Then we can lose 18-0 for the rest of the season for all I care.
-
I'm just sad really, one of my favourite players of all time and look what he's done since arriving, spent more than 10 years enjoying watching him only to come to Leicester as a manager and completely give up after a handful of games. I wish there was a way to defend him, but pretty much every change he's made has been negative. Atleast if he's here until the end of the season we will likely have nobody bidding for Bilal or Mads.
-
If we lose every single remaining game, it massively improves the chances of nobody coming in for Hermansen/Bilal so I'm not too fussed at this point, I'm just feeling despondent towards the club, i'm not even angry at Ruud, I wish him well, I wish he was doing well with us or atleast showing us he has what it takes to bring us back up and rebuild, he's clearly out of his depth but he would be stupid to walk and I doubt the majority of us would walk. These players have fully given up, I don't think they've given up because of the system or the manager, I think they've given up because they are shallow, spineless, lazy players. I can't wait for the summer, between now and then I doubt i'll watch us more than a couple of times, they aren't worth the effort.
-
Steve Cooper is the greatest manager in football history.
-
Do Coventry want a straight swap with Lamps?
-
Ruud is making him look like a managerial god.
-
The sad thing is, by the time we get to the summer, I think we'd actually be in a better position as a squad if we'd kept Dean Smith. Atleast his teams try.
-
Can't tell you how many times I've googled Nigel Pearson over the last few weeks praying to see a post from him showing that he's back to good level of fitness and able to work again..... I'd take him as Player Manager at this point.
-
Don't test the limits on just how low I think of this club right now
-
Come on mate, we've both been on here a long time, I can tell when you're joking
-
At this point I don't think it's possible to stay up, so I don't care if we bomb out of every single game for the rest of the season, maybe it gives us a chance of keeping Hermansen alongside Bilal.
-
Is it as bad as I imagine? Refuse to even watch us at this point.

The clear out for the Championship push!
cityfanlee23 replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yeah I feel you on that one but recently he hasn't been too bad despite results and being defensively fragile, I don't think he's a player that is a massive worry in the championship and his attitude seems pretty good, another that if it's possible to replace we should but as much as I have wanted him dropped for most of the season, he has improved recently. -

I doubt it, but if it's a possibility we absolutely should -

Yep unfortunately the tier maker didn't have the younger players to add in, would love to see Braybrooke promoted to the bench atleast. I know Chelsea massively rated Golding so he may come good. I'd also sell vestergaard if a deal came around, but with over 2 years left I threw him into the 11 because he's good enough at this level, would prefer to see Okoli/Nelson starting together -

From previous thread: *Edit - I don't really want to keep Vestergaard, just don't think we can get rid without losing a big chunk Build the future around Bilal, Evans, Alves, Monga, Fatawu, Okoli, Stolarzcyk (think he can become a prem player), Golding. -
This, you'd maybe have to have a sliding scale, say for example a player is at an academy for 3 years prior to leaving, the future fee could be 5-10%, if the player had been there for 5-6 years, the fee could be 10-20%.
