  1. Yep quite a few of us pointed him out.
  2. There are a few rumours online that Spurs have made contact with Glasner, I doubt Ange would drop down to us, but we absolutely should be in immediate contact if he does lose the spurs gig.
  3. The thread related to Jeremy Monga and what we were doing at 15 had me on a nostalgia trip, I was 7 when this came out, but it was one of my first Albums and i've been listening to it again today. Fantastic memories of childhood and listened to this album for years after it came out on repeat. Fantastic entertainer. It should be a link to the full album playlist.
  4. Tielemans on loan with an option to buy was also a fantastic piece of business for us, as was Evans for under £5m. We won’t talk about the goalkeeper he signed though 🤣
  5. This is it I think. Puel is perfect for a DOF role, has a clear eye for a good value player, has a history of promoting youth so we would be signing players aged 16-23 for the most part, handled the Vichai situation like a pro and he’s a guy who actually has a vision and the convictions to stick to it.
  6. I miss that game sometimes, completely burned myself out on it between about 2004-2009, I miss standing in World 2 Falador park spamming whatever the hell I was selling 33,023,128 times Cyan:Wave2: SELLING LOBSTERS 350 EACH
  7. Ruud. Rudkin is a long term problem, if he's here at the beginning of next season, he's probably here for the next 5 seasons. If Ruud is here for the next season, it's only a handful of bad results before he's gone.
  8. Can we get him to put a bid in?
  9. I don't think Enzo is anywhere near as special as many think, and I wanted him to be replaced because I didn't believe his style would work, but there is absolutely no doubt he is better than SC and RVN, I think we would have gone down, but it would have atleast been fighting, and I think we would be in a far healthier situation now regarding players on the books and would likely be going down without the likes of BDCR, Ayew, Skipp and Edouard on the books.
  10. Come on mate, you can do it. Just say it, say those magic words. "King. Power. Ou......"
  11. Ruud looked to have given up, the tactics arent working, but defensively for as bad as the tactics are, a huge portion of blame has to go on the players, and to some extent I feel sorry for Ruud. Even with his awful setup, the players just don't care. The players are on the beach.
  12. I haven't seen much about Mousinho but will have a look at him later!
  13. Lampard is an interesting one, did well at Derby, great job at Chelsea first time around under a difficult embargo, 2nd time around an obvious disaster, by that point the club was a circus. Everton job didn't really work out, then goes to coventry and has barely put a foot wrong. Massively intelligent guy and not afraid to step down and work his way up. Not sure I'd want him next season if he was a possibility but he's a manager I like.
  14. Ivan Juric leaves Southampton after Premier League relegation confirmed | Football News | Sky Sports
  15. I need to take a break from this forum if we do actually sign him
  16. Yep I remember you mentioning him and I was alongside you there. I love the Red Bull system that Rangnick pioneered which is why I've often said the club should go all out to offer Rangnick anything he wants to become DOF, I also still quite like Hassenhuttl despite the disappointments at Southampton and he's done a decent job turning around Wolfsburg who were going down before he arrived and are now 6 points from Europe albeit in a very tight mid table. Marco Rose was also on my list when Rodgers left, as was Adi Hutter and Roger Schmidt (I would love to see us contact Schmidt in summer as he's taking a break for the rest of the season, I think he's above our level though), Kovac was a manager multiple people mentioned here over the last few years. The Red Bull network just constantly produces talent on and off the pitch and has one of the best scouting networks in the world, and with Jurgen Klopp now "Head of Global Soccer" there the sad thing is, right now, I would happily take Red Bull as owners. I genuinely believe that network would see us return to the top half of the premier league. Sorry, went off on a bit of a tangent there!
  17. This. This. This. This. Got hammered so many times last season because I was bored of the sideways and backwards ball, Opposition camping in their own box mainly because of our painfully slow buildup giving them all the time in the world to settle into a deep block, then having fans lazily branding anyone who disagreed with the style as some sort of dinosaur fans who wanted route 1 football. Absolutely not. Give me Red Bull ball, Give me German heavy metal football used by the like of Klopp and Rangnick, I want to see players breaking their neck to get to the ball first and press, I want to see players who can run for 90+ minutes like KDH could. I want to see players who will "F'ing die to get 3 points" in the words of Neil Warnock. I want route 1 football like I want a hole in the head.
  18. Just something to add on the Danny Rohl front. He has worked with Martyn Glover, so with a bit of luck their relationship was solid and it's a relationship that Danny thinks would work well.
  19. Rohl now being touted as being on the list for Leipzig, where he began his coaching journey.
  20. Honestly I just don’t think he’s going to be short of offers. He's made mistakes this season but a lot of that has been largely papered over by the sheer number of big injuries they have had. I’d snap his hand off as I think he’s a breath of fresh air, straight shooter. But I think the media have always been kind to him, even when they are speculating him being sacked they always seem to defend him because of the injury crisis, I can see him going to a decent sized club in Europe somewhere .
  21. Hope whoever the next manager is enforces rules where players live closer. The travelling part is not the end of the world, but it's far healthier for a player to live closer to the team, if all players are local they are embedded into society and the area, they are all more likely able to participate in post training/match events with other players and staff, they get to spend more time with family and it's likely better for the players health and fitness to be closer to training and not spending multiple hours on the road every day which can be mentally and physically exhausting. Players need to be ingrained into the club, the area and the people they represent, that's far easier to achieve if they live local.
  22. You’re right, but if it takes him 2 and a half hours per day, 6 days a week, that’s a lot of unnecessary travel for an athlete to be making, that also in many case stops the player being able to spend time with the squad post match etc etc. As I said earlier I’m genuinely not too fussed, I think it’s far healthier for a player to be local to the club, especially if spending time with his newborn is a priority it would make no sense adding all that travel time each day, I just want him to look like he gives a toss on the pitch.
  23. Of course I have no idea, but he was here far longer than 9 months, personally I'd prefer players to be closer to the club purely because travelling hundreds of miles per day week in week out is never going to be optimal especially for a professional athlete, but to be honest I'm not too bothered about players travelling to training, clearly the manager feels differently, maybe the extra 600-700 miles a week have affected him or maybe he's been late or wants to leave early, or doesn't want to attend things with the team after, that's complete speculation, but I really don't see it being an issue spending a night away from home a month before due date for example, and I'm sure if there was some effort to compromise it would have been accepted. For me though as I said I'm not really bothered about this isolated issue, it's more about his complete lack of effort on the pitch, the rumours of him being a leak of player unhappiness on multiple occasions when cooper was here and according to a story on here was actually telling a Leicester fan how unhappy everyone was, then his public displays once cooper was sacked, I just don't think he's the sort of attitude we need around the club, but again I could be wrong, maybe he's a gem. If they've had a rough time during pregnancy then I'd fully understand that, but I'd also imagine Ruud would understand too.
  24. I didn't realise it was impossible to move home when pregnant? or for the partner to have a single night away from home per week, he isn't going to be packing boxes himself.
  25. He has been refusing since Ruud came in though hasn't he? and he's been at the club coming up to 2 years, if he's committed to the club he should be moving to the area.
