This is why I think this will be dragged out. Why would a manager commit to a team that could get a -6 deduction or -15 for example, walking into a doomed season. The only ones who would take that would be desperate managers and I absolutely want to avoid them at all costs. I expect most managers will wait out for the punishment before committing, especially if they are already at a club. The point deduction will also massively change our approach, if it's -6 maybe we spend the maximum amount allowed under our financial constraints, if it's -15 maybe we sign some younger cheaper players for the championship. Expecting little movement on the manager/transfer front, then a desperate final few weeks.

To be honest I can't see him getting another premier league contract unless Southampton want him back, I'm sure he would want to stay here, and he would give us a bit of stability even if he's not starting every week. I'd imagine he would accept a 1 year deal with an extension option for appearances. He may want to take up the alledged Saudi offer unless we offer a 2 year deal.

I think that there are a large part of the fanbase (I hear it typically more from Enzo supporters who think he’s done an amazing job with an average team) who underrate many of our players imo. A back 4 of Kristiansen, Coady, a new CB or maybe even Vesty on a 1 year deal, with Ricardo **COULD** be solid under the right system. We are sorted on the wings with those 2 fullbacks overlapping Fatawu and Mavididi, Winks is good enough, If Ndidi stays he could do a half decent job. Mads is a prem keeper already. Obviously we massively lack depth, but we have a foundation that could keep us up with the right additions and the right system.

Niko Kovac would be a big coup imo. Wasn’t on my list as I’m not sure he would come here. He’s won the German cup + runner up, won the domestic Germany treble with Bayern, went to Monaco was runner up in the French cup. Just feel like even though he went to Wolfsburg he could go to a more stable club than us. But we are in the premier league so we can offer him a half decent contract. But does he want to potentially stick around if we get slapped with a big deduction and go down. Sadly I think this might get drawn out as managers will be waiting to see what the damage is before they commit. If someone like Kovac off the back of a tricky season at Wolfsburg comes to us and fails to get us going his career takes a big hit.

3 very good signings, but regarding LB we do have Kristiansen on the books, had a great season at Bologna and would have learned a LOT from Thiago Motta's tactics (they are well worth a watch on youtube) They finished 5th in the Serie A and he played 32 games, could very well be a player who comes back and flourishes under the right manager and would save us some cash, or we could easily cash in after the season he has had!

Carlos wouldn't be my first choice over Fischer or Moyes, but something about his approach appeals to me and if he got the job, I'd give him a free hit on relegation providing he's sensible with signings and makes us somewhat competitive. I actually think with a system that plays to our strengths, we do have a foundation of a team that could stay up if he gets the best out of them. We definitely need improvements, Vardy may leave and Ndidi needs to be on top form. But with 5-6 relatively cheap players and maybe 3-4 bench players, funded by KDH and a couple of out of contracts, alongside giving some younger players a chance, I think this foundation could be moulded into a system that could keep us up. We just NEED someone who is not wedded to a system and is willing to compromise the style to suit the team. Kristiansen overlapping Mavididi and Ricardo overlapping Fatawu could be a very strong start.

To be fair, he has a LOT of material to deflect any blame away from Enzo, and a lot of it will likely be justified

Completely understand your post, but to be honest I was more deflated going into this season playing Enzoball knowing the sort of players Rudkin is going to bring in and the fact Enzo will refuse to play to those players. I’m still slightly deflated because I’ve almost completely fallen out of love with football and we are in a bad position, but with the right managerial appointment I might gain some excitement back.

It looks weak from the outside. BCFC fans were absolutely livid when he was sacked. Took a while to get really going, but from what I've seen/heard, he was uniting the fans massively.

Now THAT i could get behind. Shame he's on 25m a year

Posted a video I saw about him in another thread a few days ago, such an interesting tactical philosophy. I'd love to take a gamble on him in a couple of seasons if he's still there and doing well.

Completely agree. I really don't care what football we play next season as long as we stayed up. I felt that Enzo would get battered in the prem trying to play his style which is why I was critical this season. I'd take negative football and staying up so we can stabilise for a few seasons before we experiment again.

Given the position we are in, my top 2 would be Fischer and Moyes, voted Moyes for the sake of the poll as he has experience. The football isn't great, but he has a half decent record of signing good players on a smallish budget, and the turnaround he achieved at a disjointed West Ham is just what we need.

I think where we are atm Jose would actually suit our players. We have slow defenders like Souttar and Vestergaard who would need to be replaced under most managers, Jose or Moyes could probably give Jan a 1 year extension and work with them, I don't care how we play next season. I cared this season because fundamentally I'm concerned Enzo's style will absolutely destroy us in the premier league, we need a manager to come in and get the best out of what we have, as unfortunately if the finances are as bad as we think, there are multiple players that we want to offload that we realistically might end up keeping, players like Soumare, Faes or even an extended Vestergaard. Honestly if you gave Moyes or Mourinho a back 4 of Kristiansen, Faes, Coady or Vesty and Ricardo, I think they would get the most out of them, and we then maybe wouldn't need to offload 3-4 defenders and sign 3-4 more.

Yeah I get your point though, I do have a few reasons I'd back Mourinho to fit in here, but they are flimsy and based solely on faith

Moyes job at West Ham has been phenomenal to be honest, they were all over the place when he took over. Completely agree. He has the experience we need to buy in cheap players who will roll their sleeves up, and he has the authority to drive the club forward whilst the clown show upstairs is in full circus mode.

If we could afford to buyout another manager using the Enzo money, I truly believe Andoni Iraola will be one of the best "young" managers in Europe in the coming years and is guaranteed a big club in the next few seasons. Rocky start at Bournemouth but they improved massively.
