I had really hoped we would have wrapped up promotion by April time but it’s going to end up coming down to the last game to see who gets automatic promotion.

QPR (h) Sunderland (a) Hull (a) Southampton (h) Not easy fixtures at all. I would hope we would get at least 10 points from those fixtures but reckon we probably get about 7 points, and Leeds would have closed the gap to us. Time to really step up now.

Any team can beat any team is true, but at the same time our record against teams in the top 6 is pretty abysmal.

Leeds don’t know that when we score 1-0 we f**k it up on occasions it’s happened quiet often.

Our form against teams in the top 6 is abysmal, and that’s the worry for me nowhere near good enough, I really hope when we play the likes of Hull, West Brom, and the teams that are in the top 10 that are pushing for the playoffs we show the ruthlessness to beat them. Time to really step up now.

All about promotion for me, and that’s the worry we need to increase that gap to third place atm, it’s 9 points but if Ipswich win their game today down to 6 points which is squeaky bumpy time. Teams can see we have a soft underbelly when we are 1-0 up, they know they can come at us and break down us. We need to be ruthless in front of goal when we have our chances, that should be the only thing we are working on in training for the remainder of the season.

Our mentality needs to be seriously questioned, when we go a goal down, do we have the mental strength to get a goal back and win the game? We have done so. But at the same when we are 1-0 up there is always a chance for the opposition to come back into the game and bite us in the arse. We don’t finish off teams with these chances we are creating, and that’s the issue no ruthlessness in front of goal. We have a lot of tough games coming up we need to be seriously better in front of goal.

Mentally we are poor and that’s the concern for me. We don’t have the mental strength to cope when the going gets tough.

@Les-TA-Jon can you do a points projection for all of the top 4 I.e 2 ppg average.

At the end of the day it’s all about getting out of this league no body (in the premier league) cares about who came first and 2nd in the championship. We need to get promoted first and foremost, the sooner the better 🤞

Effectively a three point margin come the end of the season is a bit risky for us, would hope we would have secured promotion before the last two games of the season
