Not used JustPark but I've used YourParkingSpace as others have noted, never had any issues. Parked on someone's drive for a week whilst we were in Portugal within walking distance of the airport too, nearly 200 quid for the airport and paid 24 quid for the week on the app. I use it all the time when I'm going somewhere I don't know for the weekend, so much cheaper.

The Ashes 25/26
HowardsBulletHeader replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
Loads. The way of life, places to go and visit, beaches, sea, people are so much nicer than UK. In cities there's parks, places you would actually want to go and walk round, areas are kept so well. It feels like the Government actually wants to help you rather than shaft you, cheap bus/train fares compared to here, so easy to travel using public transport. The people love their sports as well. When you go abroad it's an eye opener to how far behind we are. -
I'm 4 episodes in and quite enjoying it, I have always felt like for the avid golf fan there's not much you don't know so that bit doesn't bother me. I think what has always fascinated me is the psychology aspect, how these guys who are world number whatever think they just can't compete with the top top guys (I.e Lowry v McIlroy or Hadwin and Taylor). We definitely don't realise the full mental aspect of it, I see it for the guys who struggle to keep their card but those around the 30-50 world rank mark you don't expect them to have the mental battles they do. Hardly surprised that Cantlay wants nothing to do with the camera, in fairness I wouldn't want him on anyway, one of the most uninteresting, boring blokes there is. Love Ludvig Aberg so I enjoyed ep1, he's going to pick up a major this year in my opinion.

The Ashes 25/26
HowardsBulletHeader replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
I went to Aus in December/January, best thing I've ever done, brilliant place, would do it all again in a heartbeat. I've been convincing Mum and Dad to go as they're now getting to the "now or never" age, slightly bitter they've gone for now option and will be trying to get tickets at the Ashes this winter! Parents 1, me 0. -
I had a guy try to send a photo of a document into our work... The downside was, there was a glass table, no shoes or socks and his toes were on show. Not a pleasant sight at 8am on a Monday, or any hour for that matter.

Great win for Barwell today and thoroughly deserved, could've had 7, the ball just wasn't falling for them first half. Hit the post twice and lots of chances. Ashley Chambers with 3 in 3, lots of Leicester connections in the side, great to watch and even better to finish with a few jars in the bar afterwards and still be home before I would be from watching Leicester.
-
Going Barwell again today, they've got a new signing, to be announced shortly on their twitter... The excitement is too much!
-
Went tonight, gutted for them. Did really well to get back into the game, took the lead late on and then checked it away. 3 identical goals from Bromsgrove, all rebounds from keeper saves, just not reacting to second balls all evening. Big ask to stay up now!

Potentially going to Barwell tonight, relegation six pointer against Bromsgrove, looking forward to it! Just need to make it back in time from work!

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)

All the talk in here about proper running shoes makes me think I probably shouldn't have ran in my astros that I play footy in each week! Any recommendations for a newbie runner? -

Completed my first ever 5k today, I'd been lurking in the background of this group seeing people post their times and achievements, trying to get inspired from you lot to be honest! I'd been wanting to do this for absolutely ages just not had the confidence to do it and I have a tendency to give up. I thought it would've been an embarrassing time, didn't even think I'd get under 30 minutes and got round in 27:58. Absolutely delighted. -
Man Utd 2-1 LCFC - Post Match Thread

If he's "guessing" as you put it, in that situation, then he shouldn't be a linesman in the professional game or Sunday league ever again. That is as clear cut as you're ever going to see and if a trained linesman can't see that and call it correctly at the time, they need sacking. -
Yes and yes. The rooms look decent too albeit I've never stayed.

Been to The Mallories a couple of times now and it's class for a Sunday Roast, not sure how it compares to some others as I don't get out much!
-
Yep, pretty much nailed it. Shows you how much emphasis (myself included), that people put on majors rather than anything else. I think in more recent times as well there's just too many examples in majors where he should've won and didn't. The Open where he hit all 18 greens in reg and Cam Smith somehow beat him was the one that sticks with me. Obviously Bryson at the US Open too, I realise he had his own heroics but he only had the chance because of Rory letting him in again.
-
Think I might join you (but at Barwell), the only thing that will stop me is my Dad, he loves going the City regardless of how they're doing. Also keeps us seeing each other regularly as well. Could be a tricky conversation, I need to try get him down Barwell before the season is out really, hope he enjoys it!

Night Agent is great, new series coming this year as well
-
Good points and I really wish he does get over the line somewhere, you sense if he gets over the line somewhere that isn't Augusta that'll help him break the duck there too. Out of those I'd be picking him at Quail, loves it there. Phenomenal player and has some incredible achievements, but if he retired tomorrow you'd sit there going, what could've been?
-
Been to watch Barwell a couple of times recently and even though they've lost both games, it's been bloody enjoyable. Leave the house 15 mines before kick off, make it easily, few beers, decent footy, no VAR and few more beers after. Could easily drop the City to watch them full time with the way we are being ran.

I understand the frustrating aspect of that entirely and of course sympathise. Just remember no progress was ever perfectly linear, sometimes we have to go backwards to come back and go even further forwards. I always relate it to the gym, some weeks you go and you've hit your target, others you go and you haven't and that's just life, there's no real explanation for it either which is probably the hard part. Rather than seeing it as a step back necessarily, try to view it as part of the process of growth and recovery. Hopefully by making a small change to how you view it, can keep your spirits up and keep you motivated to keep taking the steps you need to feel better, no matter how small they are.
-
I don't know you of course, but I really hope you don't go through with it and you are still here with us. I've read your posts in here, along with others and to be honest, lurked in the background as it isn't my place as such and I'm not the best for advice but I just find it all fascinating and on top of all that this thread is just incredible to witness. The power of human kindness and spirit all coming together. I lost an uncle to suicide and it hurts, it still hurts. To think he felt there was no other option, in my mind at least there has to be an option and however small it may seem, a step in a better direction. Even if that step is just talking to a stranger, I'll happily be that for you, drop me a DM. Your family and your friends love you, they care for you and trust me, no matter how hard it has been they will always look out for you and help. I hope you hang on in there and take that one step in the right direction. Ask yourself, how can I improve my mindset? For me it's always exercise and being outdoors, go for a walk, clear your head. It really does work for me and I hope it works for you too. Let us know you are safe my friend.

Everton 4-0 LCFC, post match thread
HowardsBulletHeader replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
It genuinely doesn't matter who the manager is, you could put Pep in charge of this shower and they would continue to serve up the same shite. Why? Because they are lazy, they fold at the first sign of adversity and they can't stop making such dozy, basic errors at the back. If somehow we stay up then jesus christ I'd hate to have a season ticket at the other 3, because I've got one at the KP and it's eye bleeding stuff. -
Always love the line ups whoever is in it, even those I don't know because usually by the end of the series, they end up being the better contestants. I imagine 99% of people will have a greater TV, film knowledge than me though which is probably why I don't know people!

Bloody great place, went last year. So many brilliant places, you'll have a great time, loved Gulfoss and the National Park, the black beach, lots of places to see. As something a bit different if you like darts, they have Europe's largest darts bar in central Reykjavik and its worth it just to see it.

I use Charles Stanley as at the time it was good on charges, not really sure how it compares to the market now as I've just kept funding it over the years without keeping tabs. I've had it since about 2017, which is before my Moneybox one, they are different offerings though in terms of investment as I mentioned.
