  1. Knock the M off and we might just be able to afford the fee.
  2. If I were Potter, I'd be sceptical about taking on the job and I think quite rightly he's exploring and contemplating what's on offer. Our last two managers were both kept in the dark regarding transfer funds and finances. One got the hump and got us relegated, the other got on with the job and got us promoted. I don't know what promises have been made to Potter from Top and Rudkin, but on recent form, I'd be wary how much is realistic and how much is fantasy.
  3. This is exactly the issue. I don't understand giving Vesty a new 3 year deal, if the new manager is one who doesn't play to his strengths or a similar style to Maresca. That should rule out Moyes and Cooper. But this is Leicester hierarchy, so who knows.
  4. Just from the conflicting views on here, I don't think there is a stand out candidate who is likely to be interested in the job. It appears who ever is appointed, won't be the first choice of a significant number of fans. Whatever people now feel about Maresca and his style of football, one thing he brought back was unity. belief and commitment from the players. Whoever is appointed, I hope they can keep that mentality going amongst the squad.
  5. Just being pedantic - thought we got 97 points
  6. Probably before he was told half way through the season there was no money to buy a player for £500 000 and that we we'd be facing a points deduction as we hadn't complied to sustainability rules as well as having no money to build the something over a period of time.
  7. I get all the reasoning why he'd be a fool to take on the Chelsea job, but if offered it's likely to be a win win situation for him. Either, he is successful at a so called big club and has a career as an elite manager, or he's sacked by Christmas with a huge pay off and his reputation hardly tarnished as this is what Chelsea do to managers. Should it be the latter, I think his stock will be high enough to be appointed at a mid table Prem Club or a decent Championship club or even manage abroad. Staying at Leicester next season is going to be very challenging and could see his stock falling quickly. If this scenario plays out, he may never get the opportunity to manage at the highest level in the future. Financially, moving to Chelsea would probably set him up for life.
  8. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty certain it's four (I think it is only 2 from the same club). Forest definitely had more than 2 when they first came up.
  9. Possibly 4 loans 3 or 4 free transfers and two or three £6 to £7 million pound players. But I take your point, a decent striker is likely to blow all our budget. Stick with Cannon and Vardy and see if we can get someone who can play the false 9 role in emergency or alternative system.
  10. Agree, just thought he looked as clumsy on the ball as Ndidi, so perhaps he is a like for like replacement.
  11. Villa were smart and sacked Gerrard and got Emery in. We missed the opportunity then by keeping faith in Brodgers. Our stock was higher than Villa's at the time and I think he would have joined us had we gone for him. Should Maresca leave, and I'm not convinced he will, we aren't likely to attract the quality of manger needed to take the club, both on and off the field forward.
  12. It would be more fun if we just scrapped offsides altogether - nothing to disagree and feel aggrieved about then.
  13. Nothing beats my hatred of dirty Leeds. Sunak will be gone by Christmas, I don't want Leeds playing Prem football at Christmas. So for a further 6 months I can live with it, if Leeds are still in the Championship.
  14. He'd Slot in nicely there!
  15. Yes, I tend to agree, but alongside Doyle returning to Man City, Albrighton contract not being renewed, Souttar, Ward, Cannon out of favour, Daka potentially being sold, we've barely got a squad unless a decent number of purchases are made. I can see 4 loan signings and 2 or 3 frees coming. Perhaps Fatawu and one centre half will be our only permanent signings that cost money.
  16. It's likely we lose Praet, Ndidi, Yunus and possibly KDH from midfield. Add to that we also lost Casadei whom we never replaced in January. Then if 3 or 4 are out then it seems logical 3 or 4 are needed?
  17. 47 for me, 45 for my grandson. Will get another 10 each when we renew our membership. Hopefully with 9 or 10 games we'll be in next year.
  18. Well done to those who were successful. Unfortunately my 45 points weren't enough this year.
  19. Think this would be a wise move. We've been very fortunate that Harry Winks has not had a prolonged injury this year. He'd be good in rotation in that role with Winks. It would also keep Winks fresh and on his mind focused on retaining that position. I thought, understandably, Winks looked jaded the last 10 games.
  20. Chris Wood is one of the least kind of forwards that would suite Enzo's style. I remember when we just used to pump long balls up to him in the hope he'd win something in the air. Decent finisher, but I'm afraid not one I'd get excited over.
  21. Not that I think this will happen, but hypothetically, if we ended the season on 8 points, after a 10 point deduction, does this still count as breaking Derby's lowest points record, as technically we'd have gained 18 points?
  22. Anywhere from 17th upwards
  23. Apart from maybe playing each week, I'm not sure going to a Championship club on loan will necessarily help his development as he's already done that at PNE in 2022/23 season. It's a difficult one, will he get game time here, is he good enough for the Prem. In the few appearances where he started I though he showed promise. He could be a player that is too good for the Championship, but not quite good enough for the Prem. However, he is still young and he may develop into a decent striker. If Leicester decide he is to be loaned out to a Championship club, I hope it's one where they create plenty of chance. Burnley might be a decent option as Kompany plays a similar style to us (providing he's still there).
  24. Away kit only £25 in store now
  25. Christ - They're playing Fire now.
