Think KDH will be ok and Praet or Ricardo will be the other 8. Still leaves us light in centre mid.

September 2nd

Apparently not, I've been informed. Straight reds are all competitions, yellows competition specific. So he should miss only 2 league games therefore.
-
Thanks - didn't realise, so in fact he only misses Ipswich and Sheff Wed in League. Not as bad as I thought, then.
-
A bit harsh (he's 5' 8") and not exactly slow
-
Just have to agree to disagree. Think we will be lucky to bring anyone in this window and if we can only bring in one player, for me there are other priorities than a 5th striker.
-
Mavadidi - he's played there before at Montpellier, with Yunus or Albrighton on the wing. I just don't think it's realistic to expect us to go buy another forward, so that in a month's time we have 5 strikers vying for 1 position.
-
KDH and Mavadidi have scored quite a few. Hopefully Daka will be back soon and Vardy fit. I don't think we should be prioritising a striker in this window personally as I think we have enough fire power in the squad.

Yeah, agree. Give the regulars another rest and those who aren't some more minutes. -

Be nice to have a home tie after been drawn away 4 times in cup competitions this year. -
Think he'll only get better with game time. Think Premier League will suite his game better.
-
Not often we are 2 up at half time. Hopefully an early goal in the second half would kill the game off.
-
I do think this is a weakness of Doyle.

This transfer window has all the hallmarks of when we didn't invest in January and it cost us a Champions League place. I'm not saying we haven't a squad good enough to gain promotion, but a couple of quality signings would ensure we are still heading in an upward trajectory over the last 20 games. I appreciate January can be a difficult window to do business in and by our own poor financial mismanagement we may struggle to do any business, but I'd have hoped we would have learnt the lessons from previous short comings to ensure the same didn't happen again.

Yes I agree, but added to the mix is that he is out of contract in the Summer. It will be interesting to see if he is offered a new contract and whether he wants to sign it or run his old contract down in the hope of a big signing on fee as a free agent with a new club.
-
Sorry if this has been mentioned, but do we get any compensation from Sheffield United for them terminating the loan agreement or do they still have to pay the full loan term?
-
This maybe controversial, but I actually think Akgun's skill set maybe better suited to the Premier League than the Championship. It's all a bit cut and thrust and crude in the Championship, whilst more refined and technical in the Premier League.
-
My main worry is that we dominate so many games at present, it's hard to judge how capable our defence is. Vestergaard, Faes and Doyle are all comfortable on the ball, great going forward, but how good can they defend? Against better opposition that the Premier League this may be an issue. I suspect they may struggle, so for me, we may need to invest in some upgrades at the back with greater pace.
-
I do think he has something to offer, but it is a catch 22 situation for him. I'm not sure how he gets up to speed without regular game time, yet he won't be given game time because he's not up to speed. Thought he grew into the game on Saturday, albeit against a somewhat poor Huddersfield side.
-
You've got to ask do the pros out weigh the cons. Yes, he may make the odd error of judgement and this may lead to conceding a goal (just as Allison and Eddison do, but I think most accept that they are quality keepers), but the way he plays allows us that extra outfield player that pulls opposition all over the place. I don't think that he is poor with his feet, in fact I'd say he's highly competent and confident, occasionally his long kicking goes astray. I think he is encouraged to play a high risk game as this creates the space Enzo is looking for. As for your last sentence, I'm not sure any keeper playing the high risk game Mads is playing will eliminate every mistake.
-
Jesus, are you kidding (or just on the wind up). He's like having an extra outfield player.
-
It must be difficult coming into a side and be expected to be up to speed from the first minute. I enjoyed how he grew into the game and with more minutes under his belt, I think there is a decent player in there who can make a positive contribution.

Or those that choose a better healthier option. There's a great saying, chose your battles, but ensure you win the war. The League is our war, the FA Cup our battle. If it's a squad game, then let the squad be utilised at Millwall - it will benefit us all if they can get some game time.
