He didn't really kick on because he went in the Premier League as a bit-part player for a woefully underprepared team and got a horrendous knee injury half way through that season. He's now back to full fitness and should be looking to play every week. Similar to Fatawu in that sense.

It would also get his wages off the books. He was signed when we were in Europe for over £20m. He'll be on a really good wage here. Certainly one of the highest paid players in the league.

I think that's still absolutely fine. I would be very surprised if Nelson doesn't get into the first team before Christmas though and I don't mind Mavididi being dropped for now.

The fans are backing Marti because it feels like he wants to deliver exciting football with a team of players that wants to be here and succeed. Granted there are holes in the side and I think Marti will prefer a more attacking fullback on the left but overall that side should be too much for a lot of teams. I must admit, I didn't see us getting more than one player in today and I think depth is really lacking in certain areas. (Only having a potentially injury prone Ramsey and Page in the number 10 for instance) but yeah. Onwards and upwards.

Our midfield options for the two 6s that Marti wants to play are Soumare, Skipp, Winks and probably Hamza. We desperately need bodies for those positions. I think 1 is a must but if Winks wants to go then we'd need 2.

He does need to play 70-80 minutes every week. If he can get himself some goals and assists then i'm sure a Championship team will be interested in January. Potentially a fantastic move for Huddersfield.

Probably a similar level to where Hackney was two years ago. He's a talented lad with a good head on his shoulders.

IIRC they were quite often on tele. Saw a lot of that team play and he seemed to be at the heart of everything they did well.

If he can get back to his best post-injury then it'll be a fine signing. I'd imagine this would just be a loan though.

Makes my blood run cold seeing this thread go hot. Like we've learned nothing from Ayew and BDCR. 30 year old with one single half decent season under his belt, at a club that will fight to keep him as well. We'll end up spunking the McAteer money on this absolute bum who will sit on our bench because he'll be our 4th/5th best winger. Avoid like the plague and spend the money on some up and coming talent with a point to prove.

Has there even been a single week where we've brought in three players under Rudkin's reign as DoF? There's absolutely no way we get more than one player in the 9 hours left of this window. He simply cannot do it. He's proven time and time again that he's not fit for purpose.

This has been an absolute shambles of a window if we don't get a striker in. Even more so if we sell Bilal without midfield replacements.
