Been a tragic summer for young Jacob Bethell. Looks like a deer in the headlights. 5 single digit scores in the Hundred, top score of 36 for England in T20I and a top score of 6 in tests. Had a fine 80 odd in the ODI against West Indies in Birmingham but since then it's been really dismal.

Spot on. His attitude might be absolutely fine but we only see a miserable bastard that looks as though he'd rather be anywhere but here mope about the pitch. It doesn't take much to show you want to be here yet he's not showing it. The same for Faes.

I feel as though a lot of strikers that do well at this level are like that. Josh Sargent is probably the best striker in the league at the moment and he's an absolute nothing player. So long as they're hardworking and can take their chances a striker will score goals in this league.

For what it's worth, I didn't mean this as an insult. I meant that he's a bit of a jack-of-all-trades striker with finishing being his stand out attribute.

3/4 out of 10. We have sold 2 of our 3 big hitters, the vast majority of our big earners/twats are still here, we have only bought in one permanent signing and he's a 59 year old keeper. We have sold a lot of depth for good money though. I think people are getting carried away because of this late movement but I don't think anyone would have accepted this in May.

The amount of money being spent on absolute guff is astounding. Probably gonna be £3bn by the time the window shuts tonight and I would say that probably only Isak is of genuine proven beyond doubt world class level. The Premier League really ought to be getting players in that are of Balon d'Or level when you're talking of 100m+ transfers. I do think that football is in a bit of a lull though at the moment.
