This is where I stand If I’m honest. My fear is they pull out if the EFL and EPL come at us hard, then go and play football in Belgium with OHL where life seems to be a tad easier.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Sly replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
This could go many, many ways from here. It’s all fart and no s*** - We end up paying a fine and getting earache from other clubs for years to come. A bit of follow through - We get a points deduction next season, in the region of 6 to 10 points. We’d need to be bloody good to survive. Likely case we’ll have a worse squad on paper due to have to flog people to comply when we come back down again. The squirts getting passed around - FFP starts to impact other clubs, lowering overall transfer fees and some come off worse or better than others. We went first so have no real antidote / medicine, so fumble through and just about survive, albeit in worse shape. Norovirus - We feel really rough for a while and we struggle to get back on our feet. Other clubs suffer as well, albeit not to the level we have. We end up YoYoing then settling in the Championship for years to come. Full on pandemic - Break off leagues, Phoenix clubs, fire sales, scrapping of FFP, -
Those numbers feel relatively low if I’m honest. How much clout do you actually have with the club in realist terms?

No precedent for it, so who knows. They won’t hit us with that for this season hopefully, if we bounce straight back up. -
Apparently we covered our incoming transfer monies for players like Fofana with the bank loans. We now owe more in our goings than we have potential incomings. Choudhury got his extension in 2019ish to the crazy wage he’s apparently on. Prior to that, he was earning a lot less from what I was told, despite him being linked to Barca and Real Madrid Anything to bump that salary up!

Joking aside, what are the membership numbers like?

Did I see you spamming the join requests on Twitter earlier?

In theory, businesses have companies within groups they could literally then hire the use of facilities to each other. So if King Power Limited were to own it, they could hire it to Leicester City Limited for anything from a £1 / year, to £30,000,000 a year. If Leicester own it, they could sell it to King Power cor £250,000,000 come May 31st and clear all debt etc, however I’m pretty sure that’s what fell Foul of the Derby situation and it all got very messy. The issue we have, who wants to buy us? If King Power stop pouring money in, we are stuck. Do we want to be sustainable on paper to flaunt the rules, are actually sustainable, which in long term reality, we won’t compete where they club tell us they want to be. -
I guess, what happens if King Power decides it isn’t going to keep putting money in, as it’s getting no return on investment? We could be well and truly screwed here, as they’ll struggle to sell the club as a whole, if it’s not worth anything. The potential multiple years of points deductions would really hurt us. Isn’t this what happened to Wimbledon? If they treat it like a business and not a sports club, they’ll have had discussions on divestment of assets, winding it down, asset strip it and then it shut down. We’ve seen no movement, or communication on the expansion. We could sell Seagrave in fairness, as someone would buy that and potentially turn it into a sports centre. A new business could be formed by new owners by purchasing the stadium etc, however where does that leave us?

Does your average person who attends on a Saturday, even know who Rudkin is? I reckon 50% of the crowd just about know the youth players. 10% barely know the first team, another 30% know a bit more about the off field coaching staff etc etc Most of that 90% won’t even be aware this is happening. That leaves the 10% of the fans bases that will be on here, Bentleys roof etc that discuss the inner workings and even we are guessing what the likes of Rudkin and Whelan are doing day to day, let’s be honest. It’s all a mess. It’s all one big mess.

By the way, I wasn’t being serious

Everything is fine isn’t it?

In fairness, if we really didn’t care and wanted to throw money at it, we could just tip in £100m’s. Tops a Billionaire and on paper, if we were good enough and had better players, we could just say who cares about the stupid rules, we will swallow the points deduction and win it back with the better players! The way things are going, all clubs will be on minus points within a few seasons and you’ll get an award for getting to 0 points first!

Hypothetically speaking…. If we actually get promoted. We are then forced to sell players albeit they aren’t worth a lot now. they’ll be replaced with free transfer so the quality isn’t as high. Massive points deduction. Are we getting relegated back to the Championship on minus points? -

You inherit a successful farm. You want to win farm do the year, however in order to be in the running, you can only lose £105m over a three year period. So £35m-ish a year. As you know nothing about running a farm, you employ a load of brick layers to look after your cows, sheep and corn. It doesn’t go well as you’d expect. You then reveal you’ve lost £295m over three years, however you still believe you should be in the running for farm of the year. You challenge the competition runners with legal battles. Everyone else thinks you are a disgusting mess and laughs at you and you are now know as FarmyMcFarmFace. You shut the farm, go into liquidation and try and salvage some self respect by moving to the Outer Mongolia and hopefully never see anyone from the Farm Competition ever again. You preferred racing horses and playing polo anyway. -
Cannon was such a bizarre signing. He’s okay but he’s not exactly mobile and can’t press.
-
Plymouth away will be interesting now that they’ve sacked the head coach!
-
Ian Foster sacked after 8 months. 8 defeats in 11 games.
-
Vardy, Cannon, Daka and Iheanacho. None of them are perfect for the Enzo systems let’s be honest. I do see a world where none of them are here next season.
-
We just need to manage our own games. With how the league is, all three clubs will be first, second or third over the next few games. I think that put the nail in Southampton tonight. They won’t win the league, however could still get promoted.
-
Norwich won’t be as bad as they were today against Ipswich I don’t think.
