  1. Build it and they will come. As the country’s 2nd city, it’ll get used for other stuff. NFL, concerts etc
  2. He’s also playing against teams that would get battered by League 2 opposition. The games has levels.
  3. Having worked for a multi billion pound business that went “intod a project” bringing P&L leaders into the business with no prior experience as they have the right profile to “change culture” to go from good to great. I think it was 18 months before they admitted to themselves it had gone from good to bad, staff turnover was through the roof, morale on the floor, standards dropping etc Some skills are transferable between jobs. The fundamentals of sales or operations for example, are similar. Every sector has its intricacies, imbedded cultures and relationships. You can’t change how your “customer base” perceives you. It took a change at the top and for people to be re-instated into roles they’d been removed from to get the business back into a profitable position. It felt for a long time like they didn’t want to admit they were wrong and for the business to lose millions before they realised what I see so many similarities when I look at how King Power are treating Leicester City Football Club. I’m not even sure Top or King Power have even realised this yet. Football ultimately needs football people, being run by “Retailers” won’t work, unless you strike lighting in the bottle and land on someone who is truly brilliant.
  4. Also. …. Ex Leicester.
  5. Talks online about West Ham looking to sell him already. Potter wanted him but has since been sacked. Apparently Nuno isn’t a fan.
  6. Bar stools are used in quite a lot of corporate type interviews like these. It just further adds to staging and the “it’s not what you say impact”. The main reasoning for using them is it gives better posture as they’re not slouched, so the people show more energy and ten to fidget less. You can also frame people in cameras better and it tends to look a lot cleaner than bucket / couch settings. The white background is another “staged” setting, as it makes it look cleaner. It is all physiological to basically say “trust me”.
  7. It’s an interview In a controlled setting So the narrative can be controlled No difficult questions And likely prepared, rehearsed and pushed out to control the external image
  8. It is a lot of nothing really. Until we see clear changes on and off the football pitch, to me it is just words. However, some will see this is an olive branch. Let’s see how it goes from here I guess.
  9. I would be convenient if we rejected every single planning application for his golf courses and property in the UK.
  10. Whilst we have some talent in our academy; so does everyone else. We can not continue down this path that King Power believe, we can be successful through pure academy products and minimal investment elsewhere, just because we got our fingers burnt with a few crap purchases.
  11. The Choudhury redemption arc! I still think he offers more than Skipp or Soumare as a centre mid I never thought I’d say that.
  12. At the rate we are going, our defence is going to be Thomas. Faes, Vestergaard, Ricardo …… we’ve seen how this plays out.
  13. If Trump sues the BBC for £1b, is he suing all British license payers?
  14. I’m in the “I don’t care” category I actually have no idea how much it is. I’m comfortable enough financially that I just set these things up on Direct Debit and they sort themselves out. I don’t want to buy a football club though that’s bleeding money and I don’t have a spare £200m down the back of the sofa.
  15. Let’s be honest, have Trump, Starmer, Johnson, Truss, Xi Jingping, Putin, Modi, Leyen, Meloni, Biden, Erdogan, Netanyahu, Kishida etc all issued apologies when they’ve over elaborated on the truth. Politicians all use propaganda on a daily basis and spin the truth to suit themselves. Every single news outlet does the same, some more than others. I haven’t read half of your posts as you haven’t replied to others.
  16. You’re not wrong at all sadly. I think the world is in a strange place right now
  17. I don’t think 95% of the country care that the BBC has upset the orange bloke on the other side of the pond. The statement that this will cost the BBC millions is quite clearly wrong and the media channels that pedal “FAKE NEWS” are quite frankly, running it themselves.
  18. Thank you. Agreed, a drop in the ocean for the quality you get back for it.
  19. Also, how am I lying? I asked a question.
  20. Nope, that’s why I put the question mark. It sort of comes out of the bank whenever it’s due that’s it done and dusted for the year. Do you work for Sky / ITV, as you are very anti BBC What did they ever do to you?
  21. The license fee is what £100 a year? It’s hardly breaking the bank for what we get back. The BBC is still the most balanced and best portrayed news outlet in the world in my opinion. I’d say they are slightly left, however as someone that is centre / right I can live with that. All this fuss over a badly edited video is crazy. Trump incited a riot, we all know he incited a riot, just because he’s absconded himself and all those involved with the issue, doesn’t mean he’s not guilty. The line, history is written by the victor was true for so, so long. However now with 24 hours rolling news. You can’t bury stuff like these people did for centuries, as we all witnessed it.
  22. I know we have a sub forum for transfer, however this is a more in general discussion. Our squad is a mess. Too many high earners. Too many that would rather be elsewhere. Too many in cruise control. Too many not good enough. Too many bits and pieces players. Too many lightweight players. Too many that won’t fight for the cause. Too many that at the of their contract. We have seven first team players expiring at the end of June. Begovik, Ayew, Ricardo, Winks, Daka, Soumare and Marcal. You’d find it hard to justify keeping any of them in our current situation. Even more so that them leaving potentially removes something like £13m a year from the wage bill. We can all read between the lines the lines and the PR machine that is constantly pushed, the academy is the future. Our crop of players that we will rely on, just isn’t ready “yet”. The reality is, at this point the manager, whoever that may be, will be in a real stick or twist moment some January. If we receive any form of offer, which we will, surely we’ve got to start letting some of these players go, even if we are within touching distance of a return to the Premier League? Plus, let’s not make the same mistake we did with Lookman. Please can we sign James.
  23. They’re all as bad as each other.
  24. This blows my mind to be honest. We need to stop the leakage at some point and that comes with making difficult decisions.
  25. So labour are going to break the election pledges then Call me shocked
