He’s quite a frustrating football.

Still a shirt pull. I mean Ayew isn’t going anywhere there, however if that’s Fatawu, he’s putting the afterburners on JAMES!!! 3-0!

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
Sly replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
In principle though (maybe not us), a team like Newcastle could easily cover £200m a loss, as they look to grow as a brand. It’s almost restricting trade as they’ve had to sell players to comply with PSR. Mine was more a dig out at the principle. I’d be more in favour of adopting a system that adopts a level playing field, with potentially a salary cap and restricting player hoarding like teams like Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool do. That way, we’d still likely have talent like Nyoni here as well. -
Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

The amount of time, legal costs, propaganda and pure sporting impact that PSR is having on football, proves that is ****ing pointlessly stupid. Just allow everyone to have free rein like it’s a real business. Everyone will quickly adjust if they’ve got any sense and not accept multi year deals, whilst preying they get paid as people are still in business. It’s just a joke, as everyone is trying every trip on the book to dodge it. -

We haven’t tainted it. It is still the greatest “Did that really happen” in football history in my opinion. I feel like we are in that same spiral that Leeds hit from the Peter Risdale years, where they went from Champions League Semi Finalist, to League 1 within 6 years. If you look at the likes of what fans of clubs like Deportivo, Parma, Schalke and Hamburg have been through, then it’s all very similar. If you take our title win out of the equation, as we’ve got the joint worst title defence of all time in terms of points drop off the following season, our falloff isn’t that significant. If we fall to League 1 though, it would the quickest falloff of any former Premier League Champions hitting League 1. We’d be the football equivalent of someone like Woolworths or Blockbuster at this point, as it would just continue to unravel at speed I think. Ultimately, football is a brutal business, for someone to grow, it comes at the expense of someone else’s behest. Crazy to think we’ve been surpassed by Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Burnley etc Then again, the Championship is littered with clubs that have fallen from the Premier League. I think it’s something like 19 of the 24 have played in it since it started.

The club had a psychologist, they got rid of it during the 2nd Ranieri year I believe. Culture is a strange thing, as it takes years to build in a standard business, then it’s easy to break. In football, I think it’s just about characters that are deemed as leaders and standards that are set. We reflect and look at the “Leaders” we’ve had and lost in the past 5 years and it’s crazy really. Vardy, Albrighton, Morgan, Simpson, Fuchs, Cambiasso, Schmeichel, even Coady etc This team doesn’t have those characters that will call out players who drop that 1%. The bigger concern as well is for the younger players coming through that are so impressionable. They need a real leader to guide them, not some cosplay captain who has some ability but no heart and grit to get in the trenches. Fatawu needs someone to put their arm around him develop him as a person, not only as a player. Who is doing that at this joke of a club currently?

You look at the squad and Skipp clearly wants to play football, which is a lot more than can be said for most of the others.

He needed to go years ago. It is just absolutely stupid and naive on his part. Someone should be calling him out. Yes, if he’s your mate, thank him in private, phone the bloke, text him etc. We need a Captain and some characters within this squad that will change the culture of this club. This starts with the Manager. Bizarrely, if you look at the people that care, Vestergaard is one that always looks angry with what’s occurring around him. I think this is where losing someone like Vardy has maybe hurt us even more. Choudhury, Daka, Winks, Fatawu, Faes etc maybe need to go more to address the culture.

Doh, yes, you’re right! We definitely threw money at crap until Pearson turned up.

I sort of see it as we’ve got various options to take us forward at this point. List 1 - We could go down the route many of expect and I’d imagine the likely favourites will be Michael Carrick, Russell Martin, Gary O’Neil, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, David Wagner, Liam Manning or Lee Carsley. List 2 - We’ve then got the outsiders in people that are in jobs of similar level clubs, who we won’t to pay money for, like Mark Robins, Robbie Keane, Kevin Muscat, Carlos Coberan, Alex Neil, Paul Heckingbottom, Tony Mowbray, Gary Rowett, Liam Rosineior, Brian Barry-Murphy, Stanimir Stoilov, Kjetil Knutsen, Chris Davies or Chris Wilder. List 3 - Then we come to the real left field and people that might slot in and haven’t been considered. People like Damien Duff, Gareth Southgate, Steven Gerrard, Dean Smith, Vito Perreria, Neil Warnock, Sam Alladyche, John Terry, Claude Puel, Mick McCarthy, Stev McClaren, Steve Bruce or Alan Sheehan. List 4 - I’d say Ange Postecoglou would be a serious left field appointment at this point, after his disaster at Forest. Similar to Will Still, who just had a disaster at Southampton, or Daniel Farley if (or maybe when), he leaves Leeds United. John Mushino is another that might be considered, if he gets the bullet at Portsmouth. I’m putting Kieran McKenna in here as well! List 5 - O’Neill won’t come back here. We are a completely different club now, to when he left. Andy King has shown absolutely nothing to suggest he’s capable of being a steady coach, never mind the person to lead us forward. Then we have Brendan Rodgers who gave us 2 years of great football and an FA Cup, that last 18 months has so tarnished his reputation though, he just wouldn’t be accepted. I wouldn’t come back here, as this squad isn’t setup for him to elevate himself. You can also throw Esteban Cambiasso in here, as he’ll get mentioned but outside of a Colombian U21s stint, he’s not interested. Jesse Marsh is also better off managing Canada at this point. List 6 - This is the list of lower league Managers who are making a name for themselves. People like Alex Revell, Michael Skubala, Dave Challinor, Richie Wellens, Graham Alexander, Robbie Savage, I’m going to say our next two coaches likely come from the above lists. At the moment in time, I’d say we’ll be appointing someone from List 1 or List 3, after the Derby game.

His stay is going to be extended most likely to the end of the season with Celtic. At this point though, I’d take Roy Keane
