The academy is now the backbone of the club and envied throughout Europe. Nelson, Monga, Braybrooke, Alves, Hutchinson, Alonko abd Evans are regular players around the first team.

I sort of know what you mean, as I did consider it myself earlier this week, as I wondered if he’d have done the job as the 9. So I went to an Ipswich forum and Twitter to see how he was getting on. He’s getting dogs abuse for being, very, very poor. Pure profit and for the price we got, it was a no brainer when we are stacked with wide players that should be in and around this squad.

It’s a very tight league and the difference between the team in 24th, to the team in first over a 90 minute game is quite small. A good manager and back room team, basically come up with a tactical plan and motivate the players to give that 1 or 2 % extra in a game over the opposition to get you over the line in games. I still believe we have more technical ability than some of the teams we’ve played, however I can’t tell you what or how we are trying to play. When we’ve been successful, like all teams that have been successful, you know how they’re going to setup. We knew with Ranieri, we’d break play up an counter. With Enzo we crowded the midfield and out played team. Rodgers played with a high press and energy, with a very technical side. At this stage, you’ve got to look at the attributes you have within this squad and just think, what do we do with them? A good coaching setup does that well. We do not have a good coaching setup, from an outside looking in.

Daka should just go long once they have 10 and wait for long balls out.

I’d say this has been a dreadful watch but effective performance. We’ve sacrificed style (what little bit we had) and grabbed a goal and sat on it.
