Yes, he played that role quite well for Oxford. This is why they waited for him to be fit and come back to them. He has the ability, maybe it’s just the occasion.

Only if Faes and Vestergaard leave. He’s also got to get ahead of Okoli whilst he’s still here as well.

Different levels of expectation I guess. He won’t play ahead of Vestergaard and Faes realistically whilst they’re both still here. So for his development he needs to be playing. He’s clearly got a higher ceiling in terms of ability.

I think it’s maybe a realistic view that he’s not of the same quality (understandably) of the more experienced, disliked players in Vestergaard and Faes. That was clumsy though and was clearly a penalty.

I mean, he hasn’t bagged two own goals against Liverpool yet!

I’d be on board with this. In principle we could drop Choudhury into a centre back or play Kristiansen in that slot if he’s still here.

The entire profit and sustainability rules are a joke. We’ve had clubs breaking every rule in the book to get around it. Football at the top level isn’t sustainable. It’s a rich persons toy and if they want to burn coin, let them crack on with it. Otherwise, we are basically creating a closed shop and we may as well let those clubs go and play in a super league which can slowly die as every other team except for the fans boycott it.

I could do with a nice 3 hour long episode, to numb the broadness of my drive back home.
