https://www.calciomercato.com/liste/milan-serve-un-rinforzo-anche-in-difesa-da-demiral-a-okoli-i-nomi-last-minute/blt20dd2dbb48af0466#csa699bc63688626a7 Demiral an opportunity at low costs, but not the only name that emerged in Milan's perspective during the summer. Caleb Okoli's candidacy also resists. The Italian born in 2001 was bought last summer by Leicester, who took him from Atalanta for 14 million euros plus 2.5 million in bonuses after the season played on loan to Frosinone. The blue center has a contract until 2029 with the Foxes, with whom he has collected 24 appearances scoring a goal in the first season in England. Leicester was relegated to the Championship at the end of last season and could be open to transfer, although the conditions should be evaluated. To favor the negotiation, however, could be the relations with the agency that takes care of his interests, the same as the midfielder Samuele Ricci who arrived at Milan from Turin in this summer market.

It’s ranking up, the rumour mill of Okoli leaving again! https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/ac-milan/transfer-talk/news/ac-milan-eyeing-up-move-for-in-demand-leicester-defender_580084.html AC Milan have reportedly identified Caleb Okolias a potential arrival during the final stages of the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old arrived at the King Power Stadium from Atalanta BC last summer as the Foxes looked to build a side capable of remaining in the Premier League Okoli only featured in 19 top-flight matches for the one-time English champions as they suffered an immediate return to the second tier. The centre-back was linked with a move away from the East Midlands pretty much as soon as he signed, mooted with a switch back to Italy. So far this season, Okoli has played in three Championship matches for Leicester, including the 1-0 success at Charlton Athletic on Saturday. According to Calciomercato, Leicester could be set to lose one of their key defenders before the end of the summer transfer window. The report claims that Foxes centre-back Okoli is attracting interest from a particular top-flight club in Italy, namely AC Milan. It is understood that the Rossoneri are eyeing up a last-ditch attempt to sign Okoli from Leicester before the September 1 deadline. AC Milan supposedly possess a good working relationship with the entourage of the Italian, making a transfer more probable. As well as Okoli, it is believed that the Rossoneri are also considering Al Ahli defender Merih Demiral as an option to strengthen the backline.

He got a full England cap against Hungary, in 2022. He went off injured. -
So many people called this one out for not being an upgrade on Luke Thomas quite early. Technically not good enough at the top level and I don’t see him ever excelling in the English game.
-
Our first 4 Managers were Scottish I think! Looking down the list 12 x Scottish 19 x English 2 x Italian 1 x Swede 1 x Dutch 1 x Spanish 1 x Welsh 1 x Irish Republic 1 x Portuguese 4 x Northern Irish
-
Just looking at the list - Eriksson Sousa Puel Ranieri Maresca Van Nistelrooj Cifuentes Prior to that, the most exotic we got was Jock Wallace,
-
Great finish. Please could VAR rule that out?
-
I’m not having Van Dyke is on the same level as Terry, Ferdinand, Vidic, Adams, Kompany, Diaz and Dan Burn.
-
It would be great if Newcastle could nick this.
-
Liverpool / Newcastle has produced some great games throughout Premier League history.
-
Get in! We all hate Liverpool don’t we?

The smaller clubs dislike clubs like ours, as much as we dislike the ones above us. It’s a food chain. We steal their players, who they stole from clubs below them etc -

Gilbert did a job! Albeit in League 1. I’ll throw Robbie Nielsen, Alun Marbury and I vaguely remember a game when Ricardo Scimeca played right back (I think). -
At this rate, he’ll be getting a job in the centre of midfield!
-
He’s 26, more of a winger I’d say, rather than a 10. About as injury prone as Lee Morris during the last 12 months, maybe even worse. Celtic were in at £5m apparently. No doubt we see him as the El Khannous replacement. He can play as a 10, however gives us options out wide to back up Fatawu as well. The transfer makes sense.

We want blessed with options really that season with other midfielders. Mendy was also leaving. The options of Praet or Choudhury and people calling for Alves or Braybrooke to play …. who still hasn’t broke into the first team now, albeit bad injuries aside. -
When you look at the players that have left us during the past few years, they’ve all largely stagnated. Tielemans, Maddison, Perez and KDH have done okay, however some of the fringe players from that era I guess Barnes and Kasper have done okay. Amartey - Free agent after a terrible spell in Besiktas Fofana - More time injured than playing. Currently in a spat with Chelsea Iheanacho - Disaster at Sevilla, managed to score one goal in fifteen games whilst on loan at Middlesbrough. Praet - At Royal Antwerp, played half a season. Done nothing, spent loads of time injured. Cannon - Did play at Stoke on loan. 1 goal in 21 games for Sheffield United. Most of us knew he wasn’t great and this sort of proves it. Castagne - Steady, mid table Premier League fullback. Evans - At Manchester United, who are looking worse and worse each week. That bloke on TikTok hasn’t had a hair cut in something like a year as they can’t win 5 games in a row. Soyuncu - Disaster at Madrid, now back in Turkey playing for Fenebache. Mendy -Went to Lens, didn’t do a lot. Finished mid table. Ghezzel - Blew up and lit Turkey up on loan at Besiktas. Signed on a permanent and was an utter disaster. Now available on a free. Chilwell - Went to Chelsea, started really well, lost an FA Cup final, went o. Loan to Palace and had a mare, has since disappeared! Gray - Went from us, to Germany, Liverpool (then like to think they’re not English but Scouse), Saudi Arabia and is now rocking his skills at Birmingham. Never lived uk ti the wonder goal at Manchester United. Diabate - Never looked great after that first game against Peterborough. Currently playing in the Swiss League after hop-skotching it around Europe. Silva - Disaster career move to us in all honesty, as he was a shining light at Sporting. Bloody Rudkin and his fax machine are lethal. Found his way a bit in the UAE though and maybe it’s more his level. Kaputska - For someone who was a wonderkid, he’s never excelled outside of his home country. Slimani - Bounced around club and scored a few goals in Z standard leagues. Still playing at 37!

Same with Soyuncu as well. If a player won’t sign an extension, you move them on if you can. If they are running down the contract to get a larger signing on fee, then you’ve got no hope. We’ve tried to shift others, however it’s always the balance of what will they cost to replace, then the value of them for the remainder of the contract. It’s the same with dishing out larger contract extensions as well. Interestingly, I see no one has bothered to pick up Amartey! -

Break away from the elite would be the answer. However that likely means you’d need to get clubs to agree to moving away from UEFA and FIFA, akin to the Super League. The fallout would be huge. It’s more likely to happen at the very top to generate that Super League in all honesty, than it is for a club of our size. Realistically it would need to be a European League to get any traction, so you’d be looking at a league with the likes of Leicester, West Ham, Celtic, Rangers, Espanyol, Bologna, Sampdoria, Udinese, Hertha Berlin, Werder Bremen, Nantes, Groningen, Heerenven, Standard Liege, Braga, Boavista, Gent, Tranzpnspor, Frankfurt etc etc -
This needs Tier 4ing!

I have nightmares, watching him try and roll players on slow motion, take shit free kicks etc
