Based on what? We are the best away team in the league, 6 more points then anyone else. 3 more wins then anyone else. Most goals for, joint best defence. Joint fewest loses.

Every cloud has a silver lining, the Sensi debacle means the possibility of some first team meets for Alves. -

The biggest surprise to me is that people are surprised we are returning to selling our big assets. Chief executive Susan Whelan even stated in the 21/22 accounts “As we look to continue to compete with more established opponents, profits from player trading and continued successful recruitment will continue to feature prominently in our strategy.” We will know more about the current situation with the release of the 22/23 accounts, considering several sources I've read have us under FFP for the 3-year period of 19/20- 20/21/ 21/22 by somewhere between 5-10m. I suspect we will be well under for 22/23 due to player sales. This season would always be tight under Championship P & S, as we had to deal with a large wage bill. Having a championship season in your 3-year FFP calculation is always going to make it harder as it reduces your allowable losses over a 3-year period from 105m to 89m

It's not really about whether we can afford them. It's more about how it will affect FFP. If we sign Fatawu on a 5-year contract at the report 14.6m it will have an impact of 2.92m a year on the accounts If we sign Akgun on a 4-year contract at the report 7.7m, it will have an impact of 1.92m a year on the accounts So combined a 4.84m per season In the summer, we lose a chuck of amortised transfer lability of around 10m and see our income go up by 50%. So I think the answer is yes, we can afford them.

One in the eye for the only has a plan A brigade.

It's a double edge sword, no one can know whether it would be better or worse.

Not very good at bingo are you.

You have such a hate boner

I'm pretty he's ambition wasn’t the problem on that front. Poor decision making yes, ambition no. Actually his ambition is the reason for us being in trouble with FFP.
-
Had enough ambition to write of 194m in debt last march.
-
Of the top of my head. If we get promoted our income jumps by around 40%. We have another load off the wage bill in the summer. Our transfer amortisation drop in the summer. We are under PL FFP which isn't as strict as Championship FFP.
-
Just because we can't sign player now doesn't mean we can sign players in the summer.

Pretty sure neither club wanted the deal to fall though. However there are two sides in a negotiation, if never side is willing you yield it not going to happen.

Just playing devil advocate, how do you know its not their fault?

Yunus is needed at 8. 1 injury and suspension and you are down to two. Yunus and Macteer have had a issue with injury this season.

I assume the club think we are light on wingers

We are going to go up with or without Souttar. Invest minutes in Nelson who could save us a fortune in the long term.
